The problem is simple its the eeprom that needs replacing. It sends the signals. Check voltage on eeprom

It looks like U702 was changed before I would test that regulator.

Which EEPROM and is this the same as the E320-A0?

I have a E320-A0 with sound, no picture.

          Re: vizio E320-A1 not working

Hello everyone! I know this thread is old but I have another question. I am having the same issue. The TV will not power on at all. No lights, nothing. I am testing with a volt meter on the rainbow colored set of wires going from the power board to the main board and I am not getting any volts. Any info here would be greatly appreciated.

There are two vesrions of the power suply board used in the same model TV and they look almost identical, so your board is the EXACT match to the OP for sure?
See SJ for the exact model you have.

Partial part number (CL801UXE3) can be found on a sticker.
Partial part number (CL801UXE3Q) can be found on a sticker.
We are going to troubleshoot using the pictures, so the correct pictures are VERY IMPORTANT!.
BTW, the main AC fuse is good, and you are getting 160VDC or so between the two legs of the main filter cap?

What did you use for GND for the meter?
When checking in coming AC to the board, you have to measure between LINE and Neutral.
DCV measurement in the primary side circuit, you will use the negative leg of the main filter cap as the GND ref. for the meter.
So what DCV do you have MEASURED between the two legs of the main filter cap?

But you have to have at least Standby Voltage to run the main board first, so you have at least one problem dues to dead power supply which you need to get it running first then you can find out what other problem you may have beside the power supply board.
What is the history of this TV?
Bad EEPROM will not cause the power supply not to put out ANY Voltages.

Your last post may be a touch over my head. I have the dial on 200V (wavy line over the V). I touch the black to the GND on the 13 pin rainbow wires and I touch the red on the metal of the fuse holder.

tv history. my friend had it for 3 months and one day it just wouldn't cut on. he just gave it to me to look at it. I am now getting around to it. He said he didn't notice a storm or surge around the time it stopped working

You CANNOT use the COLD SIDE GND or Chassis GND as the ref for the meter when measuring the incoming AC, you have to measure between Neutral and at one end of the fuses at a time.
Why don't you just check the DCV between the two legs of the main filter cap?
BTW, do not touch anything on the HOT side of the board or you may get killed.

Why don't you just check the DCV between the two legs of the main filter cap?
BTW, do not touch anything on the HOT side of the board or you may get killed.

                                            Hi.

picked up another TV. This time is a Vizio M65-C1. TV does not turn on. I had repaired another 60 inch vizio , Bad main board.
When power button is pressed, the Power led indicator on the bottom right, turns for a few seconds and then it fades away. No backlight or Vizio logo on screen. Removed back cover and repeated test.
This is the TV This TV is a little different from the Samsung I have worked on. Power supply is on the Left side, Main Bd is on the right side, T-CON , not in the picture is on the bottom. I am assuming that the boards in the middle are the LED...

                                            Failure Symptom

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

                                            Where is the short?

Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

                                            Hi everyone,

                                            No beep, nothing.

After some tests i found this :
                                            - PSU is fine (12 volts stable)
                                            - 12 volts line is shorted
                                            - DA9065 was fried, F7003 also => Replaced both of them, short is gone on 12 volts line, no dead short anywhere else.
                                            - By the way, nothing change. No signal, no power, no beep.

Good day to all. The bite alarm drains 9-volt Krona batteries. Current consumption when switched on is about 50 mA. I wiped the board from oxides, I will attach a photo (on the board there is a j3y transistor and a 7533 stabilizer, the microcircuit is erased = (the 3.3-volt stabilizer heats up weakly. I replaced it, nothing changed. I unsoldered the microcircuit, the consumption disappeared. The resistance on the pins of the unsoldered microcircuit from the point clockwise is more than 2 megaohms, the 11th leg is presumably ground. I warmed up the microcircuit, the consumption does not change....

                                            by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.
