Philips HDTV 42PFL7422D/37 - I hear the relays activate every 20-30 seconds. TV off but still connected to AC power. Pushing "on/off" button does nothing. No picture, no sound. If I unplug AC then plug back in, blue LED on front comes on for a few seconds, then goes out. I removed back cover, hoping to see a few bloated caps (I read so much about), no such luck. I still think it's a bad cap, maybe two. Anyone have any ideas on how I can confirm this, test the caps in situ, or find the actual issue? Attached is a borrowed image of the of PC boards in my unit.

Well that picture is no use what so ever we need good clear pictures of your boards - clear enough to read the writing on them.
Do you have a multimeter and soldering iron. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

What is the resistance reading on resistor 3318 next to the gray rectangular cap?
What is your chassis number on the model number sticker on the back of the TV?
The picture you post is the EXACT match to your TV? It is better to show your board since you may have bad component that you may not see or notice them on your board.Last edited by budm; 04-05-2013, 06:36 PM.Never stop learning

That picture is a picture from the service manual. It would be nice to see YOUR tv boards. They may be different from this layout alltogether. It may have something simple that we can see that needs replaced. Either way, it sounds like a hot side cap problem. The strong-minded rise to the challenge of their goals, the weak-minded BECOME HATERS

If people can't be bothered to take a clear focused picture, I hit close window.--- begin sig file ---
If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.
We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.
Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.

by G33RTPhilips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.
It does power up when pressing the power button.
I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

I have here a Philips 47PFS7509/12 LCD TV which came to me with a weird problem : without signal i could access menu, make a factory reset, access menus, etc.
When i applied cable signal to check image, i had normal picture, but TV was restarting.
I downloaded original firmware and applied the update, but the problem remained.
From a colleague i received a "factory package software" which is a lot bigger.
I made another firmware update, but still did not solve the problem.

by aidanmoHello,
I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.- Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
- Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
- Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar

by CornitoHello Team,
New issue on LCD panel where I need to find out the cause and the potential solution.
This is on the Philips 50PUH6400, the LCD panel is an INNOLUX V500dk2 xrs1.
I have image, on the right side, the image is more or less normal even if there is a small blur on edge, on the left there is an issue.
When moving up and down in the menu on the right the image is slow to disappear, and is darker, like red/brown.
I've checked voltages, no issue found comparing right and left side of the panel driver.

by spantorHello partners.
Could someone tell me how to make this Philips TV source work without the mainboard being connected? The model of the board is EAX65423701 (2.1) and the model of the Philips TV is 40PFH40009/88.
The TV is dead, there is no standby light, however there is a voltage of 12v on the pins ( included 12v VAU ) and 3.2v on the PS-ON pin (see photo) when the power board is connected to the main board. If I disconnect both boards I only get 8 volts on 12v pins. I would like to rule out a fault in the main board by making it work, but so far no one has been able to tell... - Loading...
