    Probably are.
Big one may be SMA/SMB size.
Small one may be SOD-123 or SOD-323 size.

I had an working T-CON board on my work bench and I concluded those parts wasn't the problem. But I did find on the working board there was 1.2 volts on the AO4854 pins 5-8. The non working board I was getting only 0.2 volts.

shameem can you confirm this measure on the AO4854?
I also replace the AO4854 and got the same low voltage.

      Thanks

I dont get any voltage at all - maybe 0.1v. The AO4854 is wired very similarly to this schematic - https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...436c6584b8.pdf

What voltage do you get between pin 5 and ground in the working board? Also it seems like pin 8 is connected to 12v supply.

I think the MAX17140 IC is supposed to provide the 5v supply through the route i marked in the attached picture - can you confirm with the working board. Thanks.

On the working board pin 7 and 8 there was +12v and on 5 and 6 was +1.2v.
unfortunately i don't have this Vizio 60" on my work bench. But I have another on on the way with the same problem. I'm not sure on what this 1.2v is supplying power to or which components? I'm started tracing the board and couldn't find continuity to any I.C.s

Based on further exploration and brief comparison with a working board i have narrowed it down to the component outlined in the picture. The points marked in blue have continuity on the bad board and don't have continuity on the good board. The markings for this transistor -
COXA (16 printed sideways) on the bad board
CO5A (16 printed sideways) on the good board

Could anyone please point me to a datasheet for this component? Thanks

I check the same part on my T-CON, and I concluded that these are MOSFET, and you may have did an in circuit test. When you applied your test lead to the gate you cause the drain and source to closed. check again. I will do more signal tracing today on where this +1.2 volts is going

I thought so too - i removed the transistor from the board and same result. The center tab and another pin is shorted. Do you know an equivalent transistor i can substitute on the board? Thanks

I think 1.2v is the core voltage for the T Con LVDS chip (Novatek)

I have attached an image of the transistor - that is as close i could go without macro lens....

shameem, I remove them both transistors and only one of the two transistor were shorted. I upload a picture of " X0VV" which seem to be a MOSFET. The "COXA 16" is shorted from the center pin to the right pin. I'm getting a reading in both direction from the center tab and the left pin. I didn't find any datasheet on either.

any news on this transistor part number? im in the same boat.

Hi, I have the same problem with this TV, I have backlight, I sound (tested with HDMI), but I have no image.

Now change the T-con and Master card, but I have not managed,

                        Someone who can help me.

Mag you could have a bad panel. Test by removing one of the t con ribbons and turn the tv on to see if you get image on half of the screen. Then plug it back in and take the other one out and turn tv on to see if you get image on the other side of the tv. If you got a image on one side and nothing after you flip flopped the cables then the panel has a short in it.

What is the part number of your T-CON board?

if its P/N: RUNTK5261TPZE you will still have a blank screen

I have one same problem. Has audio, video...the backlit goes on for a split second at bootup. There are 3 possibilities...1) power supply, 2) the cables to the leds, 3) the leds themselves

I tried 2 different power supplies ( the one in the set and second one purchased used and supposed to be good as per the seller)...same problem.

I have no voltage at the led connector on the PS, at the led connector on the cable my dvom shows open and my transistor tells me no component connected.

This leaves me to believe the led back lights are bad or partially bad causing the back light circuit to shut down.

The leds are part of the panel assembly...might not be easy to find and look like a PITA to change.

Can someone test the voltages on the power supply at the led connector...mine are just about zero (less then 1v).

Or supply me with a service manual and or schematic?

No, they are replacing the T-con board that fails based on serial number of your TV .

The t-con controls video to the LCD and not the backlight....feel free to call vizio and complain.

Google you model for all the details.

I had one that had backlight and sound but no picture. The screen had light blue tint. I called Vizio . They will ask you for the sets S.N. They have a recall on sets that have a recall on some sets. This one was not but they decided to warranty it. They extended the warranty to two years on these sets

Common problem with Sharp Tcons now failing in big numbers. The Gamma ic has failed and afraid not normally repairable. When Gamma ic fails voltage will be present on both sides of fuse of Tcon but no output voltage will be present. Not worth wasting time looking any further change the Tcon.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                            Assuming...

so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

                                            by ggil44
Hi I inherited a Vizio M65-E0 that isn't working. It must have been dropped on the corner because I found that the infrared circuit had a capacitor with one end broken off of the board and some green corrosion around the plug to the main board. I re-soldered the capacitor and cleaned the corrosion well and tried turning the M65-E0 on and I was successful. My problem is that while the back lights come on and appear to perform local dimming there is no picture or sound. It kind of looks like you are looking at the TV through a very dense fog, where changing the input on the remote will change bright...

Vizio D55un-E1 COF Lifting Tabs - Not!
                                            by rblack711
Relatively new to TV repair - as you will see. Rescued this TV from the curb. No backlights, but I could see an image on LCD with flashlight, so suspected bad LED strips. When I got to the part of lifting the LCD off the frame, it was stuck a little bit from some tape used to hold down a thin layer of foam around the frame. I saw 8 tabs on each side of the LCD that I haven't seen on any of the 3 TVs that I have taken apart before. I immediately thought, wow the engineers that designed this were thinking about the serviceman when they put these lift tabs on here - good for them. So I started yanking...

                                            by LEECH666
                                            Good day ladies and gentleman!

I am currently trying to repair a Grundig Vision 9 37 9880 T USB LCD TV for a friend that has a weird audio problem. Basically everything works fine except for the heavily distorted sound when the Subwoofer module is connected and there is a buzzing sound coming from the PSU PCB.

This seems to be a rather rare TV so there is not much prior on topic help to be found however a service manual is available at the usual sources (Electro Tanya i.e.).

I think the PSU buzzing comes from one of the coils near the bridge rectifier but...
