If you still do not get 3.3V, then for sure there is damaged place some where on the board. Good luck.

Alright so i just picked up 3 of both kind of regulators. They are arriving later today. My only question is about the pins. The fixed i got looks identical and should line up the same. pin 1 will connect to where the adj pin went originally correct?

If the tab is in the correct position, and the device is not upside down, it is not possible to put it on the wrong way. Unless spacetime curves in upon itself. But then you may have bigger issues...

Here's the adjustable regulator that I ordered and used as a replacement for U33 for a different model Vizio. I think it's the same as what you ordered but made by a different manufacturer, mine has been working for 2 months so far.

                  Failure Symptom

No picture, just red vertical stripes. Google search shows quite common problem for these recent Vizio M series although red vertical stripe pattern may differ. Some call it "Netflix" boot screen haha.

                  Where is the short?

Panel has 4x buffer boards. Quickly found the 1/4 panel buffer board with the problem by selectively disconnecting buffer board flex cables.

Having recently fixed another Vizio with similar symptoms that was a shorted ESD diode array ( link ) Probed the ESD diode array but...

Vizio M55-F0 Cannot be turned on
                  by tmhobadcap
I found this tv's situation is very complicated. It will take a long time for me to tell what I found. Therefore, if you don't mind, before I tell the complete story of what I found, I would like to ask some questions. Of course, if the complete story is needed, I will do so.

The tv cannot be turned on. I found that the heat sink on the mainboard is so hot to touch even if it is just plugged into the wall outlet but without turning on the tv. Does this indicate that something wrong that needs to replace the mainboard or the other boards?...

VIZIO M60-C3 Can the vertical line be fixed?
                  by tmhobadcap
I am trying to help my friend to fix his Vizio tv with a vertical line on the screen. The line is on the right side. It is blue/purple on the right side starting from the top. But it only goes to about 3/4 of the screen height (not to the bottom of the screen). It is very obvious when the screen is dark and it is hard to be seen when the screen is bright. Please help....

                  MT3608 Step-Up Converter IC Datasheet
                  by Document Archive
The MT3608 is a constant frequency, 6-pin SOT23 current mode step-up converter intended for small, low power applications. The MT3608 switches at 1.2MHz and allows the use of tiny, low cost capacitors and inductors 2mm or less in height.

Internal soft-start results in small inrush current and extends battery life.

The MT3608 features automatic shifting to pulse frequency modulation mode at light loads. The MT3608 includes under-voltage lockout, current limiting, and thermal overload protection to prevent damage in the event of an output overload. The MT3608 is available...
