Re: Samsung un65h6203af led replacement question
Thanks for your suggestion. I have placed the order for the led strips.
But I still would like to know the answers to my above questions. They would be useful for me in case I have another tv which needs only to replace just a few leds....

Samsung un65h6203af led replacement question
This tv is with sound but no picture. When light shines on the screen, we can see the image. This is a typical backlight problem. I opened it and found quite a lot of the leds are damaged. But the damaged ones are all shorted. No one is open. Is there a special reason? (From my past experience, both can be happened)
When I supply 3V to each of the good leds, the currents range from 105mA to 154mA. From these figures, I think the leds are 3V and about 0.5W. I plan to replace all the damaged leds only (because the price of the led strips is very expensive), but I could not find 3V 0.5W...Last edited by tmhobadcap; 10-03-2023, 11:50 PM.

Re: Asus vz239h-w no display
Sorry, I made a mistake. I mentioned that there were no voltages on all capacitors after turning on the monitor. That is incorrect. I just found that the power plug is loose making no contact at certain angle and so I could not get any voltage. But the no display problem and other founding are still true.
I am now trying to check which components might be defective by following the service manual provided by Lisa Su.

Asus vz239h-w no display
When I turn on the monitor, the screen does not light up. But when I shine light on screen, the ASUS LOGO image can be seen. But after a few seconds, the logo disappears and the power light turns orange which means standby.
I have checked backlight leds, they are all working. That means not backlight led problem. In other words, there is power to the backlight leds.
I found that when turned on, there is no voltage on all capacitors. So I suspect that something wrong with the chips. I started with the two chips closest to the power input, the one with the markings of "P8019...Last edited by tmhobadcap; 08-05-2023, 04:30 PM.

Vizio M55-F0 Cannot be turned on
I found this tv's situation is very complicated. It will take a long time for me to tell what I found. Therefore, if you don't mind, before I tell the complete story of what I found, I would like to ask some questions. Of course, if the complete story is needed, I will do so.
The tv cannot be turned on. I found that the heat sink on the mainboard is so hot to touch even if it is just plugged into the wall outlet but without turning on the tv. Does this indicate that something wrong that needs to replace the mainboard or the other boards?...

Re: Hisense 58H6550E - Freezes/Won't turn on
From the codes on the chip, I can find the datasheet https://www.datasheets.com/en/part-details/h26m52208fpr-sk-hynix-inc-98770818#datasheet. But on the datasheet, I could not find the stencil size and ball size. Can you give me more hints on how to find the stencil size and ball size?
One more question. This chip was programmed by Hisense. But the one on the market is not programmed, therefore, I can buy one and replace the current one. Am I correct? Or if there is a way to program the chip? Or will...Last edited by tmhobadcap; 02-19-2023, 09:25 PM.

Re: Hisense 58H6550E - Freezes/Won't turn on
As per Diah's suggestion, I should add heavy weight load to the chip while reflowing. Since it is so small, I could only think of pressing the chip with tweeters at the end of the reflowing. I tried several times (maximum temperature setting was 375°C but the results were just the same (Hisense logo appears for a few seconds). I found that the chip could not be moved at 375°C, so I thought may be the temperature was not high enough. I raised the temperature setting to 425°C and tried a few more times, but the results were the same....

Re: Hisense 58H6550E - Freezes/Won't turn on
I did the reflowing by blowing hot air from the top. You suggest to load some weight on the emmc. Then I think I should blow the hot air from the bottom side of the pcb (there is no components on the bottom side). What temperature do you suggest I should use? Will the heavy weight on the emmc absorb some of the heat and so temperature setting should be higher?...

Re: Hisense 58H6550E - Freezes/Won't turn on
Thanks for your suggestions and advice.
I have tried Diah's suggestion first using the hairdryer, but the tv still freezes after turning on.
Then I tried the reflowing using hot air station. I set the temperature to 375 degree celsius because in my past experience I need to set to this temperature in order to remove leds from the led strips. After that, when turning on, I only get the Hisense logo appears for a few seconds as in the video https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xohI-g_V-vM. Did I set the...

Hisense 58H6550E - Freezes/Won't turn on
I have another tv to fix for my friend. It is a Hisense smart tv. After turning on, it will freeze or stuck on certain screens. However, when it is connected to a tv box, it will automatically connected to it and play without any problem. I wanted to go to the menu and reset the tv. But it just freezes before I reach the reset menu. I have tried the hard reset methods, but no luck. I guess the main board is with problem. Will reflowing one of the chip may fix the problem? If yes, which chip should I try reflowing?
The followings are some videos showing how it freezes.

VIZIO M60-C3 Can the vertical line be fixed?
I am trying to help my friend to fix his Vizio tv with a vertical line on the screen. The line is on the right side. It is blue/purple on the right side starting from the top. But it only goes to about 3/4 of the screen height (not to the bottom of the screen). It is very obvious when the screen is dark and it is hard to be seen when the screen is bright. Please help....Last edited by tmhobadcap; 02-05-2023, 03:40 AM.

Re: Please help to fix this PA-1151-03HS-ROHS power adapter
My only experience in measuring AC was to measure the house voltage. And I do not know how to measure or know the ripple/noise. But anyway, I set the meter to AC and meter the 400V cap.
The first meter used was a digital meter. When the power supply is connected to main and to the computer but without being switched on, I found the reading was jumping from 78 V to 0V and from then again and again about once every second. When the computer was turned on, the reading was jumping from 4X V to 0V....
