Alright so i just picked up 3 of both kind of regulators. They are arriving later today. My only question is about the pins. The fixed i got looks identical and should line up the same. pin 1 will connect to where the adj pin went originally correct?Leave a comment:

Yea im afraid I may have ruined the board after taking the regulator out so many times. Its got some black burn marks around where it was. Might be getting a new board unless its fixableLeave a comment:

All caps look fine. Im not sure what your seeing.
R30 - 181 ohms
R32- 181 ohms

now without U33 attached it reads 181 ohms for both resistors. and instead of 6 on bottom one it is now 3 ohms. I also resoldered first with a much cleaner job making sure they were not touching. Didnt work so hopefully this makes better sense to you. Thanks Budm for everything so far.Leave a comment:

yes I dont know when i touch the top(in pic) or piece closest to regulators they read 354 ohms and 351 ohms. on the opposite side one doesnt read anything and one reads 6. (on 2000 ohms setting) its very possible that there may be a solder bridge tho. im not the most precise yet hahaLeave a comment:

yeah i only have a pic of from before until tomorrow.
alright i set the multimeter to 2000 ohms and:
R30 read: 354
R32 read: 1 (thats what it reads when not even connected to anything, So looks like this is bad or damaged)
CB21 actually made the meter dim out and displayed nothing. Not sure what that means
I may be looking for a new board as it looks. I may have burned something when taking out the original. It doesnt look pretty
...

Yeah both regulators are bad then. Ill just buy like 10 this time in case i run into this problem again. They were only 50 cent each.

My question is can you manually adjust the 3rd pin on U33? i know the voltage is wrong but i literally just got it in the mail today. If not im just goin to order 2 new regulators and replace both U33 and U7 and hope for the best.Leave a comment:
