Nice! Can you just run it with that bulb failed or is it very visible?

yes , I can. strange I was just gonna mark the area so when I took it apart I would have an idea wich one to look. In the service mode about 1/4 of the way down was a shadow area were tthe bulb was most likely bad. so I turned it off and back on just to program the channels and see if anything else would come up and the bulb lite up. Still gonna take apart and look at them and just replace wich ever is bad, dont like running it that way not sure its safe.

no it was actually very easy to do , the lcd panel comes right off there is 4 screws that holds the front bezel , unplug the speakers and lift them right out and when you flip the lcd over there is screws all around the frame of the lcd you only need to remove every other one not all of them and lift the frame that holds the lcd panel itself "don't forget to unsnap the printed ribbon circuit",lifts right off then there is translucent layers lift and set aside and then there is 2 plastic shrouds on the sides snaps right out then the bulbs are socketed no need for solder iron or mess with wires... the hardest part was the removal of smd capacitor on the backside of the inverter/power board and put in the jumper wire to put this set into diagnostic mode. out of all the lcd i have torn apart this one is the easiest ever bar none...thanks everybody this forum rocks.

                Hey Heavy,
Just curious was your bulbs 3mm or 4mm in Diameter. I am having a tuff time with my 37" . I ordered 3mm because m are a tick bigger , but the new ones from CCFL warehouse are 3 on the money and too small. I tried them any way and they starting flickering so took them back out. 40.00 mistake on my part.

                Thanks
                Mike

You could try a little solder or foil on the ends to make the connection more secure.

                    Sharp LED TV flashing green 2x per second - LC-70LE735X, DPS-222BP, RUNTKA857WJQZ
                    by beetle1303
Sharp TV flashing green light 2x per second at constant rate. Various reset methods do not have any effect on it. Search here and found flashing green 2x per second indicate bad power supply, which I am quite certain now.

I am seeking help with basic trouble shooting to find the short-circuit on the secondary side that I believe is the cause:

                    The main PD connector:
                    PD-1 (PNL12V) : 0.02V
                    PD-2 (PNL12V) : 0.02V (fluctuating)
                    PD-3 (SGRN) : 0V
                    PD-4 (SGRN) : 0V
                    PD-5 (UR13.2V) : 0.05V (fluctuating)
                    PD-6 (UR13.2V) : 0.05V (fluctuating)...

Sharp Aquos Lc-80LE757U flashing Sharp on screen when plugged in
                    by sefoster
I have a Sharp Aquos LC-80LE757U that randomly made a loud popping noise when when watching TV one day. We found that the fuse blew and the thermistor. We ended up replacing the entire power supply board and have also replaced the TCON board. Now as soon as I plug the TV in it lights up and has the Sharp logo flashing on and off of the screen. If I unplug the ribbon cable from the TCON board to the main board I get the 2 long 5 short error code. Any ideas on where to go from here? We've tried resetting it but nothing has worked. If we plug it in and let it cycle through the flashing of the Sharp...

Sharp LC-46D85U green power light & OPC flashing
                    by kyho
I have 46" Sharp TV LC-46D85U, recently it doesn't power on. It gives flashing one power light and OPC light together then flashing one on power light, then repeat the flashing pattern, I checked the forum and the error code for this pattern, it indicates the power supply board is faulty. I am not sure it is the power supply board or other boards. I measured the voltage on the PD connector, I have +2.99 DCV on pin 8 (AC_DET) and +5.01 DCV on pin 12 (BU5V), other pins and LB1, PL, LB2, LA connectors has 0 volt. I removed the power board and connected with BU 5V + 490 ohm resistor to pin 9...

SHARP LC-60LE640X display flashing white noise patches and totally dropping out randomly
                    by dmcabs
                    Hey guys,

I have a SHARP LC-60LE640X TV that has suddenly developed an intermittent fault of flashing white noise patches (appears like an Analog tuner off signal) and then totally dropping out.
This model I believe is also known as LC-60LE600U or LC-60LE640U in other regions.

FYI, a long time ago I was a component level repair tech for all consumer electronics and IT equipment.
I'm a bit rusty but still have ability to dig right down.

I measured all power supply lines and checked them for AC ripple voltage. Noting any lines that exceeded about...

sharp lc-65ub30u plays but screen is flashing on and off
                    by JunkmanJimbo
Hey guys! It has been awhile since I've been on here. I hope everyone is doing well. I just picked up this Sharp lc-65ub30u. It plays but the screen is flashing on and off. Other than that i seems to be a great tv. Any ideas what the problem might be? I haven't pulled the back off yet. I thought I would get some opinions first. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
