Count the blinks on the power and OPC LED.
For example 5 blinks power 2 blinks OPC: 5-2 blink code. Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!

Re: Sharp LC-32SB23U
okay i see it duh guess i never noticed since it never lights up and still does not and the power button used to respond now it does not, soon as you plug it in the power led just flashes, i unplugged the power button board same results so its not a stuck button......and i have no stb voltage, and weird the ON pin does have 5.08 volts, so i think it safe to assume the bulbs are ok at this point, and the prob is either on power board or main/tcon integrated into one, this tv only has 4 boards, tuner, main board/tcon, power button board and power/inverter board. what would be the next thing to check? Thanks again for your help and patience for this greenhorn....Comment

Re: Sharp LC-32SB23U
Heavy i just repaired a Sharp LC32SB24U. Search this Model in forums. I would bet they are very similar if not the same. There is a cap you can jump on the back side that will help you find your problem. Plz remove it when you are done and clear the codes. For testing only.. Saved me lots of time. Thanks!! Hope this helps.Last edited by Jerry7591; 10-24-2012, 11:15 AM.Comment

Re: Sharp LC-32SB23U
I was able to bring my set back to life by removing the C7558 capacitor and replacing it with a small jumper wire. This capacitor is on the backside of the inverter board (green side). It is located about an inch below the BD9883 chip. It is an extremely small, surface mount component. This keeps the inverter controller chip from getting the backlight error signal that shuts down the power board and initiates the annoying flashing green power LED issue. You will have to reset the error count after doing this by holding the power and input buttons down for a few seconds until the flashing green light is replaced by a steady red light. Definitely an "out of warranty" repair, but better than junking the whole TV. This is what i did and it fired up and showed what bulbs were bad. It's only for testing as this is not safe to leave in place. The cap is surface mount the size of a match head. This really helped me find the problem. Good Luck heavy. Cheers!!Last edited by Jerry7591; 10-25-2012, 05:56 AM.Comment

by beetle1303Sharp TV flashing green light 2x per second at constant rate. Various reset methods do not have any effect on it. Search here and found flashing green 2x per second indicate bad power supply, which I am quite certain now.
I am seeking help with basic trouble shooting to find the short-circuit on the secondary side that I believe is the cause:
The main PD connector:
PD-1 (PNL12V) : 0.02V
PD-2 (PNL12V) : 0.02V (fluctuating)
PD-3 (SGRN) : 0V
PD-4 (SGRN) : 0V
PD-5 (UR13.2V) : 0.05V (fluctuating)
PD-6 (UR13.2V) : 0.05V (fluctuating)... -
by sefosterI have a Sharp Aquos LC-80LE757U that randomly made a loud popping noise when when watching TV one day. We found that the fuse blew and the thermistor. We ended up replacing the entire power supply board and have also replaced the TCON board. Now as soon as I plug the TV in it lights up and has the Sharp logo flashing on and off of the screen. If I unplug the ribbon cable from the TCON board to the main board I get the 2 long 5 short error code. Any ideas on where to go from here? We've tried resetting it but nothing has worked. If we plug it in and let it cycle through the flashing of the Sharp...

by kyhoI have 46" Sharp TV LC-46D85U, recently it doesn't power on. It gives flashing one power light and OPC light together then flashing one on power light, then repeat the flashing pattern, I checked the forum and the error code for this pattern, it indicates the power supply board is faulty. I am not sure it is the power supply board or other boards. I measured the voltage on the PD connector, I have +2.99 DCV on pin 8 (AC_DET) and +5.01 DCV on pin 12 (BU5V), other pins and LB1, PL, LB2, LA connectors has 0 volt. I removed the power board and connected with BU 5V + 490 ohm resistor to pin 9...

by dmcabsHey guys,
I have a SHARP LC-60LE640X TV that has suddenly developed an intermittent fault of flashing white noise patches (appears like an Analog tuner off signal) and then totally dropping out.
This model I believe is also known as LC-60LE600U or LC-60LE640U in other regions.
FYI, a long time ago I was a component level repair tech for all consumer electronics and IT equipment.
I'm a bit rusty but still have ability to dig right down.
I measured all power supply lines and checked them for AC ripple voltage. Noting any lines that exceeded about... -
by JunkmanJimboHey guys! It has been awhile since I've been on here. I hope everyone is doing well. I just picked up this Sharp lc-65ub30u. It plays but the screen is flashing on and off. Other than that i seems to be a great tv. Any ideas what the problem might be? I haven't pulled the back off yet. I thought I would get some opinions first. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
