First off I hope this is the correct thread if not Please let me know.
I have this DVR for my CCTV cameras that will not come back on after a power outage. So I opened it , copied down some part numbers off the power supply and main boards to get some data on it to no avail, still searching but I wanted to see if some one could tell me buy looking at the pics if on the power supply at J4 on the green wire that states 3.3 volts , if that should be 3.3 when powered on ? I get 1.7 and goes down to 1.3-1.4 . I have 5 v on the red wire. The main video board will not come on and I replaced...

Re: WestingHouse LTV-27W2 Rolling Image
Okay Here is the Fix
Found a T-con for 11.00 and tried it with same result. So what I did next was what I should have done first was to plug up into a different auxiliary inputs to see the if picture still rolled . So I did on the PC input and no picture roll , clear as can be. Same on the other Auxiliary ports . Replaced the caps and same thing , so I didn't know how to test TV tuner and found a board from Shop Jimmy for 26.00 and instead. fixed the problem. I am pretty fugal wish I could fix the tuner that I think is bad on the old...

WestingHouse LTV-27W2 Rolling Image
I have this Westing house LTV-27W2 LCD tv that started rolling the image vertically. I have checked all connections to T-Con just to ensure it was not a lose connection and used a heat to try to find anything simple. All the capacitors are Original, but wanted some input where to start on this. Saved it almost 2 years ago to date when it had no back lights, fixed with a transformer on the inverter board. I have attached pictures .
Thanks

Re: Sharp Lc37sb24u No Picture/audio
If you go to Sharp web site and put your model # in there is a update for your model, no software just flashes. I have 2 of these and after fixing bulbs I love them....

Re: Panasonic TH50PX80U 7 blinks
Yes All I did was disconnect from SU ( 20 pin at connection SU11/SD11unplugged flat ribbon cable) then disconnect from SC (unplugged flexible hard wire SD42/SC42) Ran the jumper ground wire from circuit L801 to one of the floating ground bolt holes and it turned on. This works for SU test also.
Installed my 11.00 used card and TV looks great, been on for 3 hours now....

Panasonic TH50PX80U 7 blinks
So I got this Panasonic TH50PX80U for free today from a friend with the 7 blinks and followed the SD/SU/SC elimination and narrowed it down to SD. Amazing got test results laid out just as they are in the pictures in service manual, now I am a automobile mechanic and it is rare to get that, I will take it. I get a Picture and no blinks with SD disconnected. Is there anything else I should look for before replacing SD board, or is there a common failure on the board that I can go after.
Got to give you guys thumbs up on this thread that helped a lot,

Re: Samsung 52 LN52B550K1F FIRE!!!
Some nice pics of the boards from your TV would help get this rolling....

Re: Samsung PN50C550G1F ribbon cable.
Yea I have a 52 inch that it happened to, but it actually was part of the board not the screen side. If you google "bonding" TV panels you will see how a machine bonds this stuff to gather. Hey nothing wrong with trying to do a unorthodox repair when there is no alternative in this situation.
Good luck...

Re: Biostar P4M800PRO-M7 NO POST
Stuck the Voltage Regulators and all the MOSFETs in around CPU and now it post on bench, so at least it powers on now and will hook it all back up later to see how it is working. If test out OK will finish recaping the rest of the board.
Thanks for the help,
Mike

Biostar P4M800PRO-M7 NO POST
So I got this board which was working find, then it cut off and would not come back on. Caps around CPU where vented , so I replaced them around CPU area temporary to see if it would boot up. before doing this I tested the power supply and even changed out the power supply to ensure that was not it. What I have after wards is same thing , so with the power supply hooked up and taking a reading at the green wire when connected to board I have 5.02 volts and then when i turn board on goes to 0.00 and have no voltages any where and seems to possibly trip the power supply off,as if there is a dead...

Re: Sharp LC-32SB23U
Hey Heavy,
Just curious was your bulbs 3mm or 4mm in Diameter. I am having a tuff time with my 37" . I ordered 3mm because m are a tick bigger , but the new ones from CCFL warehouse are 3 on the money and too small. I tried them any way and they starting flickering so took them back out. 40.00 mistake on my part.
Thanks
Mike...

Re: RCA 37 WD12YX1 Flickering Backlights
I will get back to this have been a little busy. no luck with freeze spray, add heat and instant on. Is it possible to just use budm's way of testing the inverter with just 1 back light bulb hooked between master and slave inverter on this set.
