Click on the link where Plain Bill posted "Service manual". Just click on those words. This is why "Service manual" is underlined in his post.

no fault codes in the service manual, just schematic diagrams.

I had a Sharp LCD TV and I clear the code by holding down the following:

power button, channel down and input. hold down until LED stop flashing

ALL THREE button from the control panel on the TV, not from the remote

this was a Sharp 32" LCD TV, Its a long shot if this work.

hi ecking767, i just tried that - no luck.

all voltages seem to be ok, im guessing it could be main board fault.

Are you sure it is four OPC blinks. I have never seen that error in any Sharp manual I have seen. I have worked on a few with 2 power blinks and 5 OPC blinks which would indicated a problem with the T-Con or a bad panel.

yes 2 power and 4 opc.

i changed psu board - same fault

i changed main board - tv now comes on, all lights are ok - sound no picture but there is a backlight.

ahhhhh im pulling my hair out.

rayrod81, i did unplug t-con and you are correct opc light flashed 5 times.

but opc flashing 4 times is definately bad main board.

I am having a problem similar but not the same and it is my hope someone here can help. I have a 50" Sharp Aquos and I am absolutely sure that only one green light is on the front of the tv when it is on normally...but today there are two lights and I swear the picture seems darker?? Anyone have any thoughts?

I have the same problem with mit LC46X20E. Power led flashes 2x and OPC led 4x. So there is Digital 3.3V missing. Where is it generated? Are there common faults on other sharp LCDs? Is it repairable? I don't want to buy an entire board and just swap it. I want to find the fault.

                          Regards

Digital 3.3V is generated on the main board usually.
There is a common fault with those main boards caused by a small ceramic capacitor on the SS pin of the buck-converter IC failing. If you post a picture of the main board, I can highlight where to test for this issue.

OPC is on. Turn OPC off from the menu. It dynamically compensates the backlight for environmental brightness. I personally like the feature, makes it comfortable to use in both bright and dark rooms.

There is a capacitor C4707. It will be a little silver cap, near IC4701, an 8 pin chip. Can you see this?
This board is different to mine, so I can't highlight where it is unfortunately.

It could be on the bottom of the board.

I have the above TV. Black screen. Power blinks 2 times. OPC blinks once. Plug in with channeldown/volup. Powers up with solid green power but no light. I removed, cleaned and tightened the screwed on the inverters. I tested plug coming from the power supply to the inverter board when unplugged. INV12V shows 7.4 V DC. INV60V shows 0.1 or something like that. After plugging in the cable I don't get meaningful voltage from either one. (I measured after booting the TV with channeldown/volup.)

Is this a bad power supply? Or am I measuring something wrong.

Hello everyone, so the problem is the tv would seem to power up when i hit the power button as i would hear a relay click, sometimes it may give me a good picture for about 5 secs or so, sometimes i get a black screen, then shortly after it will click back off and i get power and opc lights flashing together twice followed by one flash of the opc light then it repeats.
Please correct me if i'm wrong but i understand the flash sequence indicates a possible power supply problem, can anyone say if this is accurate information? So going on that i went ahead and tried a factory reset, checked...

I found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it's image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display...

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I like to tinker with Sony electronics, I have been lucky trouble shooting sony stuff, But I can't find much info on this Sharp TV.

The problem; plug to power>white led power indicator light is on>it turns on to the red Sharp logo>
then the android logo is displayed, lit fine then the android logo brightness varies, then lit normal, then the tv restarts and does the same startup logos over and over for 5 times then it turns off and the power indicator light flashes the trouble code 3 long blinks plus 3 short blinks .

                                          does...

SHARP LC-40LE814E does not turn on 2 flashes
                                          by Egidio85
hi, I have a sharp tv model LC-40LE814E with DPS-126CP-1 A power supply.

the tv initially turned on, displayed the image for 10 seconds and then turned off. so in a loop until the power was cut off.

reading the classic optocoupler problem I changed the mounted cosmos with SHARP PC817 recovered from other boards.

now the TV turns on for 1-2 seconds and turns off giving 2 flashes in the front LED.

to avoid banging too much I preferred to take an identical tested and working card (or so the supplier says)
