Awesome, glad you were able to make some progress, be sure to try and get authentic/genuine parts, hope you get it sorted, we all love it when something gets repaired on the component level but as a last resort in case you didn't see it, Tvpartstoday has a package deal containing all the boards for US33 : https://tvpartstoday.com/products/ns...-ns-50f301na24... -

Wow, thanks for finding this video, it shows exactly everything i'm going through with mine, i did test the fuse and mosfets with my multimeter, they checked good, also caps tested fine, i didn't try that trick with the neon lamp shown in the video, but i think my problem will follow the same path, i think i'll try to find that inverterboard and replace, or maybe if i can find that pwm ic as suggested in the video is most likely the bad culprit....Leave a comment:

Thank you, so i have to jump the resistor across those pins as well? the test procedure didn't say anything?...Leave a comment:

Inverter on/off stays at 4.9v with everything hooked up, just no backlights or the ballast led. should i take a risk and replace the ballast board, if i can find one??Leave a comment:

Hi everyone, apologies for reviving this old thread but i have the same exact issue with the same model LG tv, i would appreciate any guidance.
Basically i've tried the procedure outlined in post #4 but i can't seem to grasp the results which shows 0 volts on pwm-dim , 0 volts on error and about 1.5 volts on inv on/off the other voltages are present (24v, 12v) the 5v which is where i soldered one end of the 10k resistor to drops off to 1.5 - note p201 pin configuration on my board seems slightly different to the connector shown in post#4
As was the case with the member Biruslapio...Leave a comment:

Pin configuration of the connectors could pose a problem, also those other leds look much bigger than the original ones, so it's possible that there's a difference in the working voltage of the leds themselves, then there's proper alignment of the led strips to the diffuser's.
So in other words be VERY careful in attempting this procedure.Leave a comment:

What's the power board number? perhaps try searching for a schematic using the board's number.
If you haven't already maybe have a look at this thread, could help in some way??

Sorry, only just realized it does go into a reboot after the 4 spinning color circles, takes about a min or so..
Mainboard is - TPD.rt2841.pd772Leave a comment:

TCL 40S6500A - stuck in boot process
Hi everyone, i have a TCL 40" that's stuck in the boot process, here's what happens, at first turn on you get the TCL logo after that it goes to the 4 rotating color circles, it does not go beyond this point, the color circles just keep going on, from what i've read and seen on YT apparently it's a firmware/software issue, i'm willing to try a software update via the usb method but have no luck finding a suitable site to download the correct software for my model TCL, i have tried the TCL site with no luck, so the real question is can anyone HELP point me to a reliable source i can download... -
You'll have to look up the datasheet of whichever transistors/mosfets you come across in your spare parts, but going on the datasheet of the original no MMT70R380P it's basically a 700 - 750V 11amp N - CH Mosfet, so whichever other mosfet you look up has to match those specs of the original no, also pay attention to the pin configuration with respect to GDS....Leave a comment:

Not to insult anyone's intelligence but once saw an LG do a similar thing, unplugged it from the electrical outlet and let it sit for half hour, plugged it back in and to my surprise i had perfect picture...go figure.Leave a comment:

The black patch may have been caused by possible damage to the panel itself, most likely a minor crack somewhere along the edges of the panel on that side of the tv or the COF over heating and literally burning the panel, either way, my guess is the panel has finally deteriorated to a point of no return....Leave a comment:

Thanks for finding this link for me, yeah the search results have lost it's effectiveness, hard to find stuff.
Thank you so much nomoresonys, you're a true BC legend...Leave a comment:

I think i will somehow put a small 12vdc fan over the cpu, will also try my reflow torch as well, maybe heat it up in hopes of it somehow making a better connection, and see how that goes.
Thanks again for all the tips and advice....Leave a comment:
