hey guys i decided to take the TV apart and have a look at the lights, turns out it is the problem as suspected, as you will see in the pictures, one of them ( the middle light ) is literally busted, so that's it for me, it's the garbage for this tv, thanks to this thread and everyone for your help.....Last edited by TVAddict; 01-18-2024, 06:58 PM.

with all connectors off readings on CN802 are :
pins 1 - 7 = 13v
11,13 = 5.2v
14 = 3.3v
12 = 5.2v
2+6 = 0v
Tried the light test in post#4 - the light flashed for a second and turned off
Tried leaving the OPV pin disconnected = same problem
tested the 474j cap it read 460, i figure that's still workable..?...Last edited by TVAddict; 01-18-2024, 08:45 AM.

i did measure voltages at CN802 but with ALL connectors hooked up and TV on - pins 1 - 7 = 12.6v pin 11 and 13 = 5.6v pin2 = 0.76v pin12 = 5.2v pin14 = 3.5v pin6 = 5.1v - but all voltages were steady, tv remains on with sound just the light cuts off after a few seconds of the tv turning on. Also voltage at the main cap is steady at 394v
But i'll try what you suggested and see what readings i get......Last edited by TVAddict; 01-18-2024, 08:34 AM.

Forgot to ask, if it is some light issue as this thread is mostly suggesting, is there a way one could force the lights to stay on?

I have the same exact TV with the same exact problem.
My readings on connector CN1801 are as follows - LD - 0volts / Vcc - 12.6v / CNT_PRT - 8.4v / OVP - 1.8v
Readings Taken with TV on.
Readings Taken with TV on.
The other pins with Low (fet) and high (fet) i'm not sure how to measure those?
at turn on High reads about upwards of 140v AC then dies off to around 19v AC
Low starts at 19v AC goes up to just 20v AC and drops back to 19v AC - i get no readings using the DC scale.
i tried another inverter...Last edited by TVAddict; 01-17-2024, 06:31 PM.

Re: LG 4K 60 inch TV (Model: 60UM6900PUA) (Troubleshoot , Power Issue)
Yep, it would appear so.
Just curious, did you see any standby light,(make sure the power cord fits properly into the TV) if not then it would be totally dead, looks like it may have gotten wet or somethng, either way, may not be worth the trouble.Re: LG 4K 60 inch TV (Model: 60UM6900PUA) (Troubleshoot , Power Issue)

Re: Vizio M58Q7 colored horizontal lines
Could be anything from the t-con to the panel driver board, sometimes even a faulty power supply.
Could try cleaning the ribbon connectors.
Does it get any worse?
Does it go away?Last edited by TVAddict; 05-28-2023, 05:33 PM.

Re: Vizzion 40" - Only Standby Light
I've disconnected both the backlight connector and the LVDS ribbon cable, same problem, no response.
I have a steady 165v across the main caps (68uf 450v)...

Vizzion LE40E10 40" - Only Standby Light
Hi, as the title says, all i have is the red standby light, tv does not respond when pressing the power button, the red light does not flash/blink.
It's one of those AIO boards, if anyone can provide any assistance, it would be greatly appreciated....

Re: Samsung UN50NU6950FXZA ( All In One )
Yeah, Thanks R_J i did see that thread earlier, useful info indeed, the blue caps seem fine on my board, not shorting or cracked.
Made an error in checking backlight test points, turns out i do have voltage at the " Discharge " testpoint which ranges from 185 - 210v ( my test leads was not properly touching test points because of shiny coating on the board) also rechecked the led + and led - testpoints definitely no volts there.
Continued probing around, happened upon a suspicious reading on a 10uf 50v...Last edited by TVAddict; 12-12-2022, 08:14 PM.

Re: Samsung UN50NU6950FXZA ( All In One )
First thing i checked was the fuse, i do have power at the main cap and mosfet is not shorted, as i mentioned above in my first post i do have stby voltages 3.3 and 11.8v.
I'll keep on trying, take a closer look at those marked voltage test points, maybe something will turn up.....

Re: Hisense 58R6E3 (Backlights, sounds, no picture)
I think he means the left side of the panel is shorted to ground...so the tape method may not be as effective....Last edited by TVAddict; 12-11-2022, 02:14 PM.

Re: Mi TV 4 Pro-Samsung Panel LSC550FN20 - Video problem, backlight and Audio works f
Don't hold me to it, but it could very well be that the panel itself is the problem in both TV's, maybe a failing cof, my suggestion is to try the tape method, requires a bit of patience and logical reasoning, sometimes it pays off, keep in mind though if you do manage to get the picture back using the tape method, in most cases it won't be a perfect picture, there will be some visual imperfections.

Re: Samsung UN50NU6950FXZA ( All In One )
LOL, quite right, i don't feel anything getting hot to suggest something is shorting, the CPU is cold, i hear a faint whining noise in and around the middle part of the board.
Thanks for your replies guys.....

Re: Samsung UE50TU7000K backlights on, no picture or sound
If i understand it correctly, if the backlights remain on then i would take that to mean the tv is fully powered up,i assume you can power off the tv using the remote or pwr button, you did say the stby light flashes when you adjust the vol, that's good, i'm almost certain you would get sound if you were to hook up the antenna and switch to a free to air channel, samsungs are generally easy to navigate just would take a bit of patience since you won't be able to see a picture.( using the remote, hit source, up, then left...

Samsung UN50NU6950FXZA ( All In One )
As the title states, this is one of those all in one boards, set is non responsive, not turning on, no red standby light, yet there is 3.3v present also has 11.8v present as seen in pictures, nothing seems blown, tried disconnecting panel ribbons and backlight connector, same result, any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated..Cheers....
