    Help! Sharp LC-70UE30U 3 long flashes + 3 short flashes.

    Hello, I'm new to this forum. I like to tinker with Sony electronics, I have been lucky trouble shooting sony stuff, But I can't find much info on this Sharp TV.

    The problem; plug to power>white led power indicator light is on>it turns on to the red Sharp logo>
    then the android logo is displayed, lit fine then the android logo brightness varies, then lit normal, then the tv restarts and does the same startup logos over and over for 5 times then it turns off and the power indicator light flashes the trouble code 3 long blinks plus 3 short blinks .

    does any one have a link to sharp tv trouble codes?
    I found a similar Sharp but not the exact model had this meaning to the trouble code "Regular communication that is performed at 1 secondintervals in the normal operation is interrupted.→ Main CPU operation failure or monitor microcom-puter reception failure"
    what circuit board would need to get replaced? Main board?

    I try to follow a reset for sharp TVs on youtube but this tv does NOT have and input button on the side like the reset videos do.

    any help will be much appreciated, thanks.

      Have you tried using the power button to reset?

      Hers's one post I found.

      I have the SAME problem and NOTHING would help! I then PLUGGED it in, HELD POWER BUTTON while unplugging and then plugging back in. This reset the TV and it turned on. BUT after I unplugged it, it went back to the blinking light again! I cycled it and it is working
      The trick is to plug it in first.... Then do the cycle!
      I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

          Unfortunately the "power button reset" did not work.
          I went and ordered the FRC board. I get the same blink code with the FRC board disconnected (no screen logos on any screen activity with it disconnect of course)
          I don't even know what FRC stands for just taking a chance.
          I will report if it fixes it.

                  I couldn't open up the rar service manual file it says it's not a rar file.
                  but the attached pic was very helpful.
                  my flashing code is "MAIN PWB FAILURE" (Communication failure)

                  The FRC board did not fix it, no surprise.
                  So the problem seems to be in the main power board.
                  there is only one big power board.

                  replacing the power board should fix it this time right?

                          Hello Sharp TV experts
                          Our Sharp LC-80LE642U displays one short one long flash error code which is a backlight error. I went into service mode and there were 8 lamp error counts recorded. I reset the count to 0 and did a reset. The last monitor error cause was 16 B00014639:12. 16 is the code for backlight error. I tried to power the tv up but went back into error mode.

                          > I checked voltages on the power supply board and they all check out .. including 3.28 volts at the error pin.

                          Hi everyone,

                          I've got a Sharp LC-55N7000U. It has a standbuy LED when plugged in, but powering it on causes it to blink 1 LONG and 5 FAST. Theres no display and no backlight.

                          Nothing I checked has that blink pattern for Sharp TVs and there's only one multi-button on the TV itself so that service menu trick involving the input button doesn't work either. Its a post-Hisense buyout TV so that probably makes sense lol

                          I've tried disconnecting the panel sides from the TCON alternating sides, but no change in behaviour even when the whole TCON is disconnected,...

                          Just picked up this sharp tv not too long ago and it started not wanting to start the other day, giving me the notorious 2 long-5 short blink pattern indicating a power issue. I was able to force start it a handful of times (once the tv has fired up it has no issue running for 5+ hours). But now as of yesterday, no matter what I try to do button combination wise, I just receive the same blinking code.


                          So I busted into it and have done the following:

                          -Removed the power board and inspected for any bad caps, burn spots etc. Do not see any instances of such ...

                          First of all I am not native English speaking, so sorry for potential mistakes or misunderstanding.

                          I have a basic multimeter and a soldering iron. No electronic pieces for replacement for the moment, but I can buy some.

                          I have a Sharp Aquos LC-40LE810E with issue.
                          When I turn on my TV with the remote control, I have 2 long flashing on the boomerang symbol, and no image/no sound.
                          I saw in the service manual that I need to click on « menu » button of the remote control to have more information.

                          --> Error core...

                          Hello all, I have been here from time to time and now I'm back for some assistance.
                          So I have the TV above and its doing the one long and one short "V" blinking. I did the reset on the controls on the side of the TV and while holding down the volume - and the input button, then plugging in the TV the "V" light is solid, then very briefly I see the backlight flash, then the "V" goes back to the 1 long and 1 short blinking. I just want to make sure its the backlights before I get the parts to fix it. Is there anything else I can do to confirm its the lights....
