        I have the same model. I have all voltages to the inverter boards and still no backlight. I replaced inverter boards and still no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

            I would also appreciate a copy of the Vizio sv470xvt1a manual. I have a TV that clicks one when turned on, Vizio label turns white, no back light. The manual on/off button only works part of the time. Thanks...Link

                Check the 35-v 470 uf cap under the heat sink The one close to the edge of board.

                    Also check the caps on the inverter boards.

                                I took off most of the boards on my Vizio 470XVT1A, labeling them all and the back of the TV as I went. I thought I was being careful, but when I finally found the burned/overheated component on the final board and started putting boards back in I found a connector on a board that had no corresponding cable. That board is the green one in Tim387s illustration DSC01289.JPG with the large number of capacitors to the right of the metal shroud covered board that has all the in/out connectors on it. I can't make out if the connector on the left top of that board has a plug in it or is left unwired. Mine is empty and I could have sworn all five of them had plugs in them, but I can not find a plug that is orphaned anywhere on the TV. Would someone more knowledgeable tell me if I have goofed and left a cable lying around somewhere?

                                            I have the same problem. If i turn it off for a while, it will display a 3"wide horizontal picture and then go off

                                                Hello, i am working on Vizio M70-C3. It can hardly power on, it takes 15 power button presses or remote. Seems like eeprom problem that I seen before but all reading online says that this tv has power board or main board problem.

                                                Hi I inherited a Vizio M65-E0 that isn't working. It must have been dropped on the corner because I found that the infrared circuit had a capacitor with one end broken off of the board and some green corrosion around the plug to the main board. I re-soldered the capacitor and cleaned the corrosion well and tried turning the M65-E0 on and I was successful. My problem is that while the back lights come on and appear to perform local dimming there is no picture or sound. It kind of looks like you are looking at the TV through a very dense fog, where changing the input on the remote will change bright...

                                                HI all,
                                                hope someone point to the possible issue before I start buying replacement parts.
                                                Tv starts normal and responds to remote fine, PSU voltages mesured fine 19v was 18.9V under load and 19V with main board disconnected.
                                                Backlight stays on all the time,
                                                Sound works fine.
                                                screen keeps changing form black to full picture in about 1sec intervals.
                                                Picture looks fine with no visible artifacts.
                                                I have disconnected backlights and flashlight test confirmed that picture is still doing the same.


                                                Disconnecting left and right ribbons on...

                                                Vizio D50u-D1 Powers up no picture

                                                I replaced the backlights all good. Two months later set was dead, had a shorted D9100, replaced all good again.
                                                Now months later set powers up,backlights light ok,no picture. 12volts missing from fuse on tcon. 12VA on power
                                                supply is 19 volts. Changed D9100 again, same, 12 volts measures 19. Am I looking at a power supply or mainboard
                                                issue. Set will power up with remote but not power off....
