evershine TL3000-10 inverter problem

I found this inverter in the skip and as I cant get my sma sunny boy working I decided to take it home. After opening it up to make sure it's safe to power up I plugged in the 240ac and 270dc and it started running self diagnostic, after 30 secs it displayed relay-check fail. Would this be as simple as sucking out a relay and replacing it with a new one.

Turn off the SOLAR SUPPLY MAIN SWITCH located at your switchboard or the Inverter AC Isolator.
Turn off the PV Array DC Isolator located at the inverter.
Wait for approximately 1 minute.
Turn on the AC Isolator and / or Solar Supply Main Switch.
Turn on the PV ARRAY DC Isolator.
See if the inverter successfully starts up after the reboot.

I have found a fault with this Relay, even thou the coil was ticking when I give it 12v the mains side was not switching.
This relay was a real pain in the butt to suck out, I lifted 2 pads up so ended up cutting it open and pulling the pins one by one.
I cant find a replacement relay in the uk and digikey wants $12 and $10 postage so going to have to look for an alternative.

So you applied 12VDC to the coil and the contacts moved but still not closing the contacts (0 Ohm reading between Common and N.O. pins of the relay)?

There was OL on the ohms setting on the mains side with the coil energised or not.

Thanks petehall347, I'll try a lower amp relay i got laying around first just to see if it clears the fault, If it does ill buy one from rs cheers.

just noticed you have to buy 120 to get them cheap ..at least its free postage
i get most components from there . free next day delivery .once had a load of capacitors flown overnight from germany as they wasnt in stock here . phoned them at 8pm and they got here earlier than a regular order .

Found something a bit strange about the relay I pulled out of this unit. The package say it's a T92P7D12-12 which had 4 pins on the mains side. The Data sheet shows it to have 6 pins on the mains side. I found a relay T92P7D22-12 which is the same rating as the T92P7D12-12 but only has the 4 pins on the mains side which matches the one I took out of my unit. Could this relay I took out be a T92P7D22-12 with a T92P7D12-12 case on it???? Would they do that.
Also the T92P7D22-12 is less than half the price.

The one in your unit is DPST (Double Pole Single Throw) which has two Common (C) contacts and two Normally Open (N.O.) contacts and 2 pins for the coil and it use the case form factor for the DPDT (Double Pole Double Throw) version which has 2 Common (C) contacts, 2 Normally Closed (N.C.), 2 Normally Open (N.O.) contacts, and 2 pins for the coil.
So you just have to look at the P/N closely which will show what the contacts configuration will be.
