Depends on the speed you want. Try each resistor in series with the fan, and see which airflow you like the best.

For most average PSU fans (rated 0.12~0.18A), you can get a decent range of different speeds with a resistor between 10 and 100 ohms, with 10 ohms making the fan run at almost full speed and 100 ohms at around half speed.

The resistors you have are 100 ohms, 51 ohms, and 180 ohms.

Bookmark this: http://www.dannyg.com/examples/res2/resistor.htm This way you won't look like an idiot when talking about resistors.

He won't be able to answer that question, since he's banned permanently afik. I think it might have been in relation to that apology thread.
I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

Bin Files rebuild for HP Pavilion 17-cn1003ca
              by mferna14
Hi, I am working on a hp 17-cn1003ca laptop., board # VLAD10-6050A3261101-MB-A01(A1).This laptop had gone to another repair shop & for no reason at all they just removed the BIOS chip (Chip missing). Checked the photo with identical board & no BIOS chip on mine & missing chip on these tracks. I downloaded the BIOS files from the Hp site for this model. The Model # is 17-cn1003ca & Serial # 5CG21832ZY. Can someone rebuild the Bin file for this Model & S.No. I have uploaded both, the 8MB & 16MB bin files, I think 16MB is required for this motherboard. Thanks in advance....

              Hi
I need help with a corrupted bios. The pc doesn't power on with the original file. I downloaded new file from HP and the pc works but I get the "Manufacturer setup" display. I would really apreciate if someone could help with adding the missing data from the original to the new file. Thank you!

              ZD desoldering station pump rebuild
              by stj
              just did one.
              works great.

              so here's the discoveries.
the pump "modules" have 4 parts, the main body, the outside bit, the inside bit - screwed to the main body, and the diaphram.
the failure is the inside bit, it has a rubber coating for some reason that becomes tacky and breaks down - contaminating the diaphram.
so you need to clean everything to get rid of all the tacky black stuff.
              then reassemble it.
              *BUT*
you must put the 2 screws into the assembly only finger-tight.
if you tighten it properly the valves dont work....
