YueLin YLP-013. Actually kind of a capable platform that can do 350W (in spec) if D13009L primary switchers are used, or about 400W (in spec) if 2sc3320's are used. Also depends on whats used on the secondary.

I agree with 370 It looks pretty good. All it needs is some input filtering, which isn't hard to scavenge from a dead PSU.

No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

It would probably work, but I don't think it would be as good as a proper X-cap. That's what I think anyhow, but wait for someone with more experience than me like 370forlife or everell to chime in.

x and y caps need to be rated as such.
they will be covered in regulatory agency logo's and ratings.
if you are going to add the missing parts to these junkers do it right.

What do x and y caps do and how do they get their name. Why not abc123 caps? Do they need to be put in in a specific orientation?

Also: can i just stick a thermistor in series with the fan connector? Or will that not work right?

You'll need a little transistor circuit to "read" the thermistor afaik. Those little thermistors aren't designed to have too much current flowing thru them. But if you got extras try it anyway, if it goes up in smoke you'll know it was too small.

Some cheap psu makers do that. As a result the thermistor is hotter than the heatsink itself!

can i just put a resistor ino the fan circuit? no temp control, itll just slow the fan. and i found some filter components out of a 124w delta psu...

I have a schematic somewhere around here of the little fan controller boards they put in the CWT built antec's. They use parts you can find in almost any psu. I think the hardest to find parts are the TL431 (any psu is littered with these,) a A1020, and some various resistors.

I drew it up on the back of some sticky note or something. I can't find it right now, I'll have to draw another one up.

Here is another fan control circuit:

And here is something that just regulates the voltage into some value lower than the original (maybe one could put a thermistor in series with the fixed resistor?)

                                          Hello,

I got a Fujitsu Siemens Lifebook E756 vPro with a corrupted Bios after flashing. Device wont start anymore, only Blackscreen.

Dumped the Bios and attached it. Maybe someone can help me repair/rebuild the bios?

                                          Thanks in advance...

Hi, I am working on a hp 17-cn1003ca laptop., board # VLAD10-6050A3261101-MB-A01(A1).This laptop had gone to another repair shop & for no reason at all they just removed the BIOS chip (Chip missing). Checked the photo with identical board & no BIOS chip on mine & missing chip on these tracks. I downloaded the BIOS files from the Hp site for this model. The Model # is 17-cn1003ca & Serial # 5CG21832ZY. Can someone rebuild the Bin file for this Model & S.No. I have uploaded both, the 8MB & 16MB bin files, I think 16MB is required for this motherboard. Thanks in advance....

                                          Hi
I need help with a corrupted bios. The pc doesn't power on with the original file. I downloaded new file from HP and the pc works but I get the "Manufacturer setup" display. I would really apreciate if someone could help with adding the missing data from the original to the new file. Thank you!

post moved...next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread..

                                          ZD desoldering station pump rebuild
                                          by stj
                                          just did one.
                                          works great.

                                          so here's the discoveries.
the pump "modules" have 4 parts, the main body, the outside bit, the inside bit - screwed to the main body, and the diaphram.
the failure is the inside bit, it has a rubber coating for some reason that becomes tacky and breaks down - contaminating the diaphram.
so you need to clean everything to get rid of all the tacky black stuff.
                                          then reassemble it.
                                          *BUT*
you must put the 2 screws into the assembly only finger-tight.
if you tighten it properly the valves dont work....
