Re: HP Elitebook 850 G8 bios locked
By comparing a locked and unlocked file using the File-compare option "Analysis -> Data comparison -> Compare.." .Its not easy to understand at first but if you keep comparing lots of other files on the forum you`ll start to see itComment

Hello.
I have a problem with the Elitebook 840 G8. When enabled, there is a POST Power-on Password prompt. Possibly there is also an Admin Bios password. Can anyone help get rid of the problem?Last edited by SMDFlea; 03-26-2023, 01:11 PM.Comment

Program the both chips together, in the first boot go to Bios Menu and disable security options (Default).Attached Files----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Everyone.
Please I need help in unlocking BIOS password for this EliteBook 840 G8. I tried the BIOS Patch but it didn't work. I wonder where the problem is now.
The patched BIOS is the current one in the BIOS chip

by traxformaniaHello,
I'm using TONGFANG "GM7TG7P" model laptop for over 3 years and i'm entering the same bios administrator password everyday. My laptop has Aptio BIOS (American Megatrends, AMI).
But today it's not accepting my password. I'm %100 sure i'm entering the correct password.
I'm trying to reset my bios without success.
I tried :

by NopslideHello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.
My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).
Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....-

by Habble7The Samsung S49CG934SU monitor does not power on - no LED indicator activity and no response to power button. However, when 21V power is connected, it immediately draws 0.8A of current with no display output. The motherboard processor gets warm, and there is continuous reading activity from the W25Q128BV BIOS chip.
Suspected Cause:
I suspect the BIOS may have been corrupted during a power interruption while updating the firmware. The official website provides firmware updates, but they can only be installed via USB flash drive.
