I seem to think now that UR500 must have been damaged too and would need to be replaced. I would place an order for the IC and install it when it arrives and come back here to relate my findings. Thanks for your help so far, much appreciated.... -

I've tried the steps listed there however, there is no boot chime at startup, audio output shows as MacBook Pro Speakers [Built-in], volume slider works as it suppose to, there is no red light coming from the 3.5mm jack indicating Digital Out and it doesn't indicate Digital out as well in the audio output too.
The Mic Input Level also detects sound input but Voice Memos is not able to record any sound. The record counter stays at zero....Leave a comment:

MacBook Pro A2338 [820-02773] No Audio (Speakers and Microphone)
Hi Everyone,
Please, I have a MacBook Pro A2338 M2, board number : 820-02773. The speakers and the microphone of the Mac are not working and I need assistance in fixing.
UR730 got damaged and short-circuited the motherboard. After removing the shortened IC; before and after putting the new one I ordered, the speakers [specifically the other one not affected by this IC] and the microphone are still not working. I do have sound through a Bluetooth speaker device or when I connect a headphone with microphone to the jack 3.5mm input. Also, media files do not play unless a... -

I have solved it. It was a very minor problem. It turned out to be the keyboard that was causing it. I was able to figure out that it was the NUM_LOCK Led that was bad and somehow causing a short or something. Anyways, I just insulated the pins for the NUM_LOCK Led (Pins 29 and 30) on the keyboard flex since the keyboard itself is still working (all keys are functioning perfectly).
In case of anyone that encounters something like this for this particular model, try checking with another keyboard and if all the keys on your keyboard are still ok and you don't want to replace the keyboard,...Leave a comment:

Lenovo G50-80 Auto Power On when AC is detected
Hi Everyone,
I have a Lenovo G50-80 that auto powers On when AC (Charger) is connected. I have checked the BIOS settings and there is no option to turn On or Off that feature as it is in some HP EliteBooks. I did update the BIOS and still same.
I then flashed the BIOS with a different bin file I downloaded here, It worked (didn't auto power on) for some time (after testing up to 5 times) but has now started again to auto power on when AC is connected.
The CMOS battery voltage is 3v. I have also tested with two main batteries as well. I would be glad if anyone... -

Hi, please I tried cleaning the ME Region in the file in the link below but i encountered an error. The file works for me but has 20 seconds delay. The laptop in question is Dell Latitude 5300 2-in-1 using 8+16MB BIOS.

Using BIOS Config Utility, I got an Access Denied error as well. Is there anything I am missing?
I reverted back to the 850 g3 bios bin before attempting the BCU and it is stated I can't change the model because it is Read-only of which i still tried anyways with no luck . Right now, I am stuck. If i can get a working BIOS for 840 g3, it will be useful. One i have that works shows up as ZBook 14 G3....Leave a comment:

I bought a replacement motherboard which happens to be for HP Elitebook 850 g3 and i want to use it to replace a faulty HP Elitebook 840 g3 motherboard. I have attempted to transfer the model name and serial number from the faulty 840 g3 motherboard to the 850 g3 motherboard but it turned out unsuccessful. I tried using my knowledge of changing Apple SSN, HWC and Checksum on it and I was able to input the correct serial number and model name but wasn't able to rectify the checksum error.
