Need some help with my dell g3.
Black screen, restarts and the fan is too fast with other bios I tested.
Bellow are the original bios.

It worked normally, after testing it turns on but no display, fans works at max speed.
I tested others bios without success.
Please help to fix my bios files.​Comment

Thanks Shiyab, I tried both but they won't work, laptop won't turn on.
In fact this was the initial defect.
With others bios that I tested the laptop turns on and fans at max speed.
I opened both (8MB - original and sent) with ME Analyzer 1.304 and they show errors (attachments).

But the notebook is still working with a black screen.
I've writeen both BIOS. When connecting the power supply or internal battery, the laptop starts, caps lock turns on, blinks twice, after a few seconds it turns off and then restarts the cycle indefinitely.
I waited 30 minutes when turning it on for the first time. The fans is working normally now but the keyboard is inoperative.
I would appreciate any help.​Comment

I have a problem with my Dell G3 laptop.
Service Tag: JS3GF63
The CPU fan was not working at all and the GPU fan was running at full speed.
After uploading both files from post nr 190 in this topic on a trial basis, the fans both run at full speed, you have to wait several seconds for the logo and the Service Tag cannot be saved.
I tried clearing ME, but FIT can't open the file.
If it is not possible to fix my bios, I would ask you to add the Service TAG to the one in post nr 190

hello every one
i have dell g3 15 3500
mainboard Selek g3 mlk n18p 19795-1 403yf$ja

thats all details i have s/n and service tag are removed
it had short circuit on gpu mosfet
after replacing it came to life but stuck on logo
tried whith to flash another ec.bin it worked but fan are very loud and it shut down after afew minute
can any one fix my ec bios
i uploded both ec and main

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,... -
Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I recently bought a Dell G15 5515 with an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and 3060 RTX. The BIOS chip on it was dead, and my hardware guy replaced the chip. After that, everything was working fine.
The BIOS is currently at version 1.22.1, and I wanted to update it. I downloaded the latest BIOS version from Dell Support using my ST: FQZMYJ3, but when I tried to run it, it says "unsupported system." I asked my tech guy what he did, and he said he took the chip from another board and flashed it onto mine.

Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot. Has anyone found a way to crack this extra layer of security Dell have implemented? Seems both HP and Dell have upped bios security to match Lenovo by implementing extra measures on a separate... -
So, i kinda spend significant ammount of the last couple of days trying to flash a new bios, and or unlocking the current bios password with little to no results.
The whole thing started with it being the 8fc8 bios, i found the tools to unlock that but i needed a bios dump. So i pursued that, im at a point where i dessoudered the chip, and succesfully soudered it to the ch341, dumped whatever was on it.
However, the tools supposed to unlock the 8fc8 say that there is no 8fc8 hex inside. And when i followed diffrent tutorials to just flash a new bios onto the chip i got stuck on the...
