Can it be the same problem with my P50? See above. It doesn't have a picture with any of the patched files, only with the original bin. I tried everything, asked for help but I'm out of ideas.

            Revelprog with its original software.

I didn't know there were LPC lines here that I could use to get into the BIOS. I used that method several times in the past. I will give it a try here as well.

I had to try a few times, but I was able to get into the BIOS with this method, and now the P50 board is finally supervisor password free. Thank you for all of your help! I wanted to leave a comment about the success for future visitors.

I’ve just sent you a PM with links of 2 pictures showing BIOS chip location on ThinkPad P50.
Hi, just wondering if you could share those pics again? I'm looking to fix my p50. I've already found one chip that could be the bios chip, close to the RAM, at position u5, but I'm not sure if it's the correct chip.

Can't seem to find an Edit button, so I guess I'll go like this.
I just went for it, and it worked out. PW is removed, U5 is indeed the BIOS chip.
                    Thanks

I have got a Thinkpad L470 with locked BIOS. I havent done any BIOS unlock before. My question is, do I need a new pristine BIOS image and use it with the script, or is the script used with the dump of the exact same BIOS that you want to unlock?

Yes, the laptop has the Lenovo BIOS, but when you say original do you mean a BIOS that has never been updated?

Yes, it is the original BIOS, but not the same version that the laptop was shipped with. The current BIOS installed on the laptop is the latest one, version 1.80. The laptop was shipped with BIOS version 1.50 tho.

                                      Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                                      🧩 Initial Issue
                                      • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight
                                      • External display (HDMI) shows

Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
                                      Some issues
                                      A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
                                      by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.
