Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 (serial number: MP2BFZEF) bios request

    Hello,

I have a Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop (serial number: MP2BFZEF) that when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.
So I thought it was a Bios problem.
I found 3 bios chips on the board, which I read with a bios programmer: two XMC model bios chips and a Winbond model bios chip. Each XMC model bios chip has two partitions named XM25QH128A [3.3V] and XT25F128A [3.3V]. And the Winbond model bios chip has three partitions named W25Q80BL 3.3V, W25Q80xV 3.3V and W25Q80DV 3.3V.
The two XMC model bios chips all have two 16Mb files (XM25QH128A and XT25F128A) each one, but their contents are different.
The Winbond chip has three files that only weighs 1Mb each one and they all have the same content. It doesn't look like a complete bios file.
I've attached to this post the original bios I extracted from these three bios chips: XM25QH128A and XT25F128A of the first XMC bios chip; XM25QH128A of the second XMC bios chip; W25Q80BL, W25Q80xV and W25Q80DV of the Winbond bios chip.
Unfortunately, for the second XMC bios chip, I only dumped the XM25QH128A partition and then erased it. But its XT25F128A partition was also erased (even though I didn't select it). So I don't have the original dump file of the second XMC bios chip XT25F128A partition.

I followed the tutorials given on Badcaps:
    1. I went to the Lenovo support website, downloaded a bios update and extracted a 26Mb .bin file.
    2. I also followed the Badcaps tutorial to modify the .bin file extracted from the update, to obtain a 16Mb file that I flashed on the two XMC model Bios chips. I couldn't flash the Winbond Bios chip because it doesn't support files larger than 1Mb.
But this didn't solve the PC problem and the same symptoms described above persist: when I turn it on, the led on the power button lights up for 5 seconds, then goes out. There's no display and nothing happens.

Can you help me with working Bios files for both chips for the Lenovo Thinkbook 15 G2 ITL i5 Laptop? Thanks.

          by BrentH561
Hello everyone, I am looking for help to make sure I am on the right track to remove lost BIOS Admin password on an HP EliteDesk G6 800 SFF. I recently purchased this on ebay and the seller is willing to accept a return but I have already installed my new HDs, NVME, and setup proxmox so I would like to keep it.

Here is the hardware identification specs:
          HP EliteDesk 800 G6 SFF
          Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10500 CPU @ 3.10GHZ 16384 MB RAM
          Serial No: MXL1223499
          Product No: 26S74UT#ABA

BIOS/IC chip seems to be the 4 pin XMC XM25QH128A (3.3v). However most

          ASUS TP500LA BIOS request/repair/merge?
          by jbonavita
Hi, my laptop wont boot at all
With original bios no POST, only LED lights
With alternative BIOS from model TP500LN (flashed via programmer) the notebook works again
          Some issues
          A- with bios from 500LN, it won't update from bios of model 500LA (from 500LN v203 to 500LA v300)
B- If updated from 500LN version 203 to 300, the battery stops being recognized

          Things I tried

1- Update / clear ME: Took the non working bios, made a backup, and did this: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...theory/trouble...

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
          by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop 15-ec2523nd - Dimm2 slot disabled after corrupt bios repair? Advice requested.
          by Bloodhoundje
          Hi everyone,

I have been doing hardware repair as a hobby for some years now and recently decided to learn about repairing laptops as a fun challenge.

I managed to get my hands on a "HP Pavilion Gaming 15-ec2523nd" notebook that only shows a white power LED and doesnt respond to anything.

After initial testing I concluded the bios seems to be corrupted since all voltages are normal and there are no shorts. HP has a feature for a bios restore from USB with winkey+B for this model. This did not work.

I have desoldered the bios chip (GigaDevice...
