Hello.
I am trying to salvage Bios locked Lenovo T480 Type 20L5.
I tried couple of times to follow the guide of reading BIOS with NeoProgrammer, autopatching it with Python script, writing onto chip, following the GUIDE and then rewriting original image with erase and verify on.
Unfortunatly every time I fail to save the PC, after all this I try to boot the PC and it is still locked.
Anyone can help me with it, or guide me where am I making mistake?
I am including my original BIOS image with "patched one"Attached Files

Hello, trying to remove forgotten supervisor pw from my bios, need to do an OS install, pc boots into windows fine but I don't have the a tools to get dump file from the chip physically. Tried to extract a bin from the .exe (which I also included) I last updated the bios with, but I am not that computer literate and I am just confused now. I did find a bin for my 20EQ motherboard but I don't know if it needs to be specifically obtained from my pc.
PC DETAILS:
LENOVO P50 INTEL Ci7 6820HQ
SERIAL - PC0TNEGH
MBOARD - 20EQS4QM00 SDK0J40697 WIN
CURRENT BIOS VERSION: N1EETA2W (1.75)

Hi!
I have problem with locked T540p
With original (locked) 4MB file works fine, with the patched nothing just blank screen and power led on.
Tried to read again, repatch, rewrite, no luck.
Patcher completes with error "Looking for volumes to patch... [1/1] NVRAM_EfiSystemNvDataFvGuid (checksum 2609h): Not found... Skipping."
What is that?

Seems like AutoPatcher is unable to correctly patch the 4MB file and produces the above error, this user manually patched it and works like a charm.
Keep in mind that motherboard needs the LAN & USB daughterboard to be connected in order to power up, otherwise doesn't boot!
Thank you all!Last edited by Andreasbest; Today, 09:17 AM.

I have bought a thinkpad t440s
i7
it is bios locked, i CANNOT buy new motherboard
which chip do i need to dump? i can buy clip to do this, i have a t48, but have no idea where this mystical chip is or where to find it
after it is dumped, can i use the util from the first post or do one of u have to do it?
this computer is worthless to me without bios unlock, i would be better throwing it away if this does not work
