Re: Panasonic Toughbook CF-53 Mk3 BIOS Password Removal
I would much rather learn to fish than have someone hand me a fish... if that's not ok here that's fine just let me know
I replaced the section that was mentioned here:
with FF and 00 as the person I was quoting described
but I think that may just blank out the BIOS password and not the power-on password (password prompt you get when powering on before you even get an option to go into the BIOS), hence why I was asking if anyone knew where to locate the user/power-on password in the dump
but I attached it anyway if you don't want to share your secrets

Ok, go fishing then if that's what you want.
I said BOTH dumps, to be able to look what you've done, and not storytelling and pictures again.
So I can be able to tell you where you're going wrong after you've failed already. That's what you want, isn't it?

It turned out that the model is CF53-4, that's why I'm moving the comments to the "cf-53 mk2/mk4" thread.

There is no other chip on this board labeled Winbound. Or I can't find that chip. Motherboard in front of me. This chip was next to the RAM.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Re: Panasonic touchbook cf-53 mk2/mk4
It doesn't have to be exact Winbond, it could be Macronix or some other brand as I mentioned. Inspect the motherboard more carefully.

Re: Panasonic touchbook cf-53 mk2/mk4
Good afternoon. Help me remove BIOS passwords from two CF-53s. I have 6 of these laptops. Of 4, I was able to remove passwords myself
by changing the block at address AB0C7A - AEFFEF. But in 2 laptops this does not work. in the first case, BIOS number ACJ9TGRI12A
It just asks for a password again. In the second case, BIOS CF-532SLZLNM shows a black screen.
2 original dumps with corresponding names in the archive.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

by BigPeteI picked up a Panasonic NH-P70G2, though it would apply to the NH-P80G2, NH-P70G1 and NH-P80G1 models as well, as maybe some other models. This one was coming up with a H86 error. After lots of testing and googling it was an error with one of the thermistors in the condenser area.
The attached French service manuals is incorrect, TH11 is gray and is a 95k thermistor and TH12 is black and is a 35k thermistor.
In my case TH12 was bad. I was able to get a 35k thermistor on AliExpress. It's 6mm in diameter.
Unfortunately the whole machine has to come apart to fix it.

by AquaMan UaHello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...2 Photos

Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing hereπ€?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting π.
