put the bios backup hereDue to a lack of donations, server free space at a critical level, and possible closure of Bios Requests all donations are welcome, click:

Re: Dell xps 13 9350 bios bin
Does anyone know what the UART connector adjacent the bios chip on the Dell XPS 13 9350 motherboard is for? It appears to be a Dell engineer's method of flashing the bios on a dead motherboard. I have three of these boards in non working computers. I haven't pulled them completely apart as yet in order to get the Dell part numbers as yet.
I have searched Google extensively in order to identify the plug which connects to this UART connector but haven't found one as yet. It is a 4 pin connector.
I did manage to cut a ribbon cable in two with 4 ribbons which seem to connect perfectly with the pins when a small plastic shim is wedged behind the cable. It's not an ideal fix but i think it will do the job. I also have an Willem eprom burner on order and I think that will do the job on the two completely dead motherboards.
The bios or corruption of it seems to be a real problem with these particular motherboards.
I have one of these computers which I am using now and "touch wood" it's been flawless up to now.Comment

by mikeybassHi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. I decided to copy the main BIOS and EC from the working 9010 computer and successfully flashed the corrupted BIOS. This got the computer able to boot again and run norm...

by jhanraHi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.
so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue
in windows 11 sound driver compatibility, but overall its ok, for me i can deal with it, 😅😅😅...-

by mrrubikHi folks,
I got a Dell Optiplex 7010 micro PC (Exact Model) with 8FC8 BIOS and locked out admin password. I attempted to remove the password by patching the BIOS via info from this thread: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...ssword-patcher
After flashing the patched the BIOS, the PC is unresponsive with a solid AMBER power LED (not documented in manual anywhere)
Steps I took:- Read BIOS with CH341a, verified hash twice
