    Dell Vostro Vostro 5625 bios

    I have a Dell Vostro 5625 which failed during a BIOS update and now doesn't boot. When the power button is pressed, the keyboard lights up and the fan spins, but doesn't get past that! The flashing light codes suggest a RAM issue, but I have tried different RAM to no avail.

    I am hoping that I can remove and flash the BIOS to see if that does the trick, and am hoping that someone is kindly able to create a new BIOS image for me please?

              Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

              Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

              I have a Vostro 3420 8H8K5R3โ€‹-8FC8 that freeze at any attempt to enter bios password or the recovery master password received from dell. I do not have a clean BIOS image to flash.
              And as luck would have it happened a couple of months ago right outside of the warranty period (Dec 2023) warranty expired in September. Any help or guidance is appreciated.

              Hi there masters, recently i got a dell 5400 chromebook and wanted to install windows, i searched the internet and i found out other people also wanting a UEFI bios for this model, i searched there is a R/W legacy, but there are bugs like keyboard/trackpad not working, and hard to install.

              so i decided to try to port one, this bios is based on dell 5400 windows version, i am testing this bios for a week now an found only a little to no bug at all in windows 10, or only a minor issue

              Dell latitude 5580, motherboard cdp 80 la-e151p

              3 amber 3 white blinks. Dell website sais it's problem "bios recovery" and suggested solution "recovery image not found"
