Dell Vostro 3420 BIOS Password Removal

I have a Vostro 3420 8H8K5R3-8FC8 that freeze at any attempt to enter bios password or the recovery master password received from dell. I do not have a clean BIOS image to flash.
And as luck would have it happened a couple of months ago right outside of the warranty period (Dec 2023) warranty expired in September. Any help or guidance is appreciated.

you need to have at least cheap programmer, like CH341A and hot air gun to desolder the bios chip. search in Youtube university how to read bios bin from bios chip using ch341a then upload here the BIOS main and Service tag. its usually 32MB 25Q256.

only flash this 8mb do not touch the 16mb.

1st boot, press F2, write service tag, disable Absolute, save (Apply changes), restart. 2nd boot press Alt+F to exit manufacturing mode

Flashed it 3 times, no screen, no fan spin, power light comes on for 25-30 seconds and then turns off.

my patch is working. your bios is not okay, its corrupted its not my fault if you didn't verify your bin after reading. clearme doesn't work this needs bios rebuild and patch.
Lesson learned? ALWAYS verify bios bin.
send here board code so that we can find working bios for you

                Try again carefully.
@rex98 , You must connect the bios file before using ME analyzer..

I merged the 2 bios files and ran it through ME analyzer but I honestly can not tell what it supposed to look like, but it doesn't give me any errors so I am hopeful.

You can flash the locked version again to see if it can boot.

So you've damaged the hardware, pay attention to the components surrounding the bios chip.

sorry my bad i didn't merged the bios files.
try this clearme version. flash both.
if this doesn't work it must be hardware issue.

I honestly think the bios chip was faulty and that caused my initial problem and all the soldering and programming did not help with its health. I want to thank everyone for their effort and input.

                                    by TopPop
Sorry for the long story. I have a Dell Latitude 5530 (i7) laptop (South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4 203102-1 FK8VG$JA) with an admin BIOS password that I want to remove. Service Tag: HYKFPT3. Other than that the laptop worked OK.

I found a CH341A Black and went looking for the BIOS chip on the motherboard. After trying to read one chip that was a firmware chip but not the BIOS I think I found the BIOS chip labeled Winbond 25Q256JVEN. Altogether I think I found 4 different firmware chips in the laptop. The BIOS chip is a WSON8 6x8. I used the CH341A, NeoProgrammer, and a cheap pogo pin clip...

I have a Dell XPS-15 (9520) with the LA-L402P motherboard. It seems to have bricked itself after a common BIOS-Firmware upgrade. I was hoping to please have my own-thread to work-through this (hopefully successful) repair as a whole. Apart from the possible need to have a BIOS-dump fixed-up, I have a feeling I'm going to have other questions. This includes using my new XGecu-T76 for the first time (should be here...

I need help unlocking the BIOS password on a Dell Vostro 14-3468.

[REQUEST] Dell G3 3579 BIOS Password & AMI Protected Range/BIOS Guard Unlock
                                    by zenius
Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

BIOS needed for Dell Vostro 3405
                                    by 417731
Hi, I have a problem while updating the bios 1.27.0. After that the display went off & the bios states as Dell Inspiron 3505 in the F2 boot > bios > Device when I plug into a secondary monitor. As I don't have any experience in bios, request you to please help me to flash the Vostro bios as they share the common motherboard (GDI53 LA-K037P).
                                    Model: Dell Vostro 3405
