                      Hey,

It's my first time trying this.
I have recently got a T495 (S/N: PF-1ZY53R) with a locked BIOS. I managed to desolder the chip and read it, however I can't seem to get the patched one working with the autopatcher.
I would like to do it myself if possible, however I have zero experience. When I flash the patched version, the notebook plays the music and fan keeps going with black screen. It works when flashing the original dump but still has the password obviously.

Info: I have disconnected the internal display (it doesn't work) cable and I connected an external monitor by HDMI. The original BIOS shows up on the external screen.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I've attached both dump files.

                      Thank you in advance.

Thanks, it seems I have killed the chip by desoldering and soldering it too many times as it's not even detected by the programmer now. I have ordered a few pieces of the same chip so I could check. I will update as soon as I get them.

yep, happens to me too with MX (Macronix) chipsets. I advice you to use Winbond, more resilient to multiple desoldering.

Please can you help me. I erase the chip, then flash the bin patched and now if I turn on the laptop I have a black screen, the fan start to run but then stops and nothing else...
How can I get the laptop boot again?

                                        Thanks

let me understand: you used a patched bios from another laptop and now if you write back original bios laptop has black screen? Post original bios backup and serial number, as in rules and explain what you did.
