This is the IC chip on the Belkin Thunderbolt Dock.
Pin 2 is GND
Pin 5 is the 5V input
This chip is located in the HDMI port and the USB-C port.
What kind of chip is it?... -

by mitsu2kHello folks, I seem to have a lot of trouble when it comes to distinguishing markings on SMD components especially when it comes to the question of whether it is a 1 or an I. for example, I see components marked NI. It looks just like that. However, I cannot tell if that "I" might be a number one instead. Is there a rule of thumb that manufacturers use when using these characters? Attached is an example. This is just one example out of many I come across but it's a good illustration of my point. I appreciate any input....

by bugsbayHi everyone,
I'm trying to identify an SMD IC on the mainboard of an ASUS ProArt PA279 monitor.
Here are the details:
- Marking: AXNN (top line) / .297 (bottom line, likely date code)
- Package: 8-pin, approximately 2×1mm (WSON-8 or DFN-8)
- Location on board: U1025
- Near a 6R9 inductor, so I believe it's part of the DC-DC buck converter circuit on the power section
I've searched several SMD marking databases (smd.yooneed.one, markingcodes.com, random-science-tools) but couldn't find any match for 'AXNN'.
Does anyone...1 Photo-
