Lenovo NM-D562 v2.0 main EC programming help needed

    Hello Everyone,

I have this board that has an autostart as soon as i connect the charger (no POST) and restarts after 20 seconds. cannot be turned off.
I'm suspecting main EC firmware problem (IT8227E-192)
Since this board has only EC_KSI6 and EC_KSI7 pin on keyboard connector to the EC this cannot be programmed trought it.

I would like to know if anyone can give me instruction how to program the EC.
In the Vertyanov tutorial instructions I have seen that alternative is using 8pin direct cable soldered to board.
Anyone knows hows if that is working with ITE chips or just with ENE?
What software options i need to use?

Are you sure it is 192 not 256?
You can use ite via i2c method, what's the JIG version?

I have not disassembled it yet so dont know it its a 192 or 256 I have only took a look at the 1.0 schematic and boardview
      JIG is rev 4.2

JIG3 and successor both support the i2c method. Connection via battery smb clk and data lines. 2 wires+gnd.

Now I dont know, I did not have any problem with it until this i2c.
I have ordered it from this:

Then you have to contact the seller for software, as i understand Vertyanov has built into new version of his software a lock which might brick non-original programmer.

Thanks i have contacted him and he will soon release a software update that make i2c protocol and a lot of more available.
I the meanwhile i have ordered a new preprogrammed chip and replace it... see what happens.

Changed EC and problem is the same.

                    Summary:
                    - No short on the board.
                    - GPU colils and memory has no power
every other power rail present and OK
                    - RAM tester shows 3 missing signal on both ram slots
                    - The CPU coils are getting hot (45 Celsius) but CPU is cold.
                    - CPU coils have 0.810V when plugged in
The coils and 4 ohms resistance by default.
Is the CPU dead? could it be a 32Khz or 48Mhz crystal problem?
Anyone help me diagnose if CPU dead or broken solder bals or CPU controller faulty maybe?

It's a Lenovo. Highly likely bad joints under your CPU, very common issue. Black glue makes these pretty much unworkable.

The solder they use is made out of some type of cheese https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rkmON6h5B0I

Difference is I have got Vcore 0.810V, but of course RAM tester shows missing lines so maybe different solder joins cracked.
                          GPU also has no voltage.
(I have tryed 2 times removing chips with lenovo black glue and both ended up ripped pads where glue was. second was a but less ripped pads)
