Hp G6 intel R 13 dead no power issue

Hi I have a Hp g6 intel board Da0r13mb6e0 rev e board thats dead . Im getting 3.3vs5 and 5vs5 voltages, the KBC pin 95 (rsmrst) is going from 0v to 3.3v also pin 101 s5_on is going from 0v to 3.3v.Pin 112 (sus_pwr_ack) goes from 0v to 3.3v.
There are no leds and the board seems dead as in no fan or leds lighting.Any pointers would be great. I have attached the schematic i am also using a bench supply as the dc jackl lead seems to be damaged too.

If you say you have 3.3v and 5v and voltage on the power button, try flashing the BIOS.

Yeah I will try that but would I get signal from the Kbc if the bios was corrupt?

If it's got a separate EC BIOS, then yes.

It seems the bios pins 3 and pin 8 do not have 3v pin 8 has .57v. pq19 gate is not being switched by PU2. I accidentally shorted pin 12 and 13 together this switched on the laptop the backlight was not on but I could make out no operating system on the screen.

Pq19 supplys the +3v by the looks of it and Pu2 switches the gate on but its not doing that, what I also found was when I shorted pins 12 and 13 and the laptop booted up the PCH gets hot. Im not sure how hot these chips normally get.I presume on4 pin12 pu2 is what switches pq19 gate on. Is there still any point in flashing the bios??? Any input is appreciated

The situation is still the same Im not getting the mainon signal into pu2 which I presume switches on the gate to pq19 this only worked as I shorted the pins but after powering down the set is dead again until pq19 is switched on by pu2. What causes the kbc to release this voltage? (mainon). The backlight is a different issue if I can get the unit to power on as it should then I will try fix Back light issue.

Same motherboard here on my bench at the moment. First 3.3V rail was completely shorted because of corrupt HM65 chip. I replaced that chip and now I can't get 3.3 or any other voltage anywhere on board. God damn Quanta motherboards are full of surprises and nearly impossible to repair.

What do you get at pin 4 of PU2 before or after you pressed power button?

Could be PU2 or SIO chip may need replacement.

Pu2 pin2 and pin 4 0V before and after, I think these should both be 0v before and then go high after pressing power button. This mainon signal is not being sent by Sio Im curious of what needs to happen to release mainon from Sio?.

RSMRST#, check it for 3.3v after power button is pressed.

Resistance from PU2 pin2 to ground? Maybe sio output or PU2 input shorted to ground?

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I have a floodlight-security camera that recently died on me.

its hardwired to 115v po115v outlet. One evening it simply died. After some troubleshooting (ensuring it had power and ensuring the electronics were actually functional by supplying 5v via usb port) i realized the power supply must be the issue. The supply was noticably warm to the touch even though it was not powering anything.

Trying to understand what i was up against i went looking for others with similar issues and anyone who might have attempted a repair. While a few ppl have had the...

Hello, the DSLR has heavyly fallen. It is dead : no sign of life and display nothing.

When it worked, it always displayed a card present state on LCD display, even when the battery is empty it display a empty battery symbol.
I found a dead fuse, I replaced it and a mosfet burnt, I changed it and another fuse burned. Nothing burned after. And I can't find any short circuit anywhere, it's weird.

Now, I try to understand how it works.

There is two boards (the little one on pictures has no component) : the first is a « power board » : managing...

Acer Spin 1 SP111-33 Power-On Issue (Troubleshooting Assistance)
                                        by justice171
I am seeking guidance on an Acer Spin 1 SP111-33 that does not turn on when pressing the power button.

Below are the observations and troubleshooting steps I have taken so far: Observations and Tests:
                                        1. Verified that all critical voltages are present:
                                          • 3.3V and 5V are always present if DC is plugged.
                                          • 1.8V on the BIOS chip is present.
                                        2. Checked the power button functionality:
                                          • When pressed, the voltage drops to 0V, indicating the button is functional.
                                        3. Inspected the flex cable connecting the USB, audio, and power button to JUB1:
                                          • Confirmed connectivity is intact, ruling out issues
                                        ...

hi guys, my motherboard will not start no matter what
when connected to ac power, the battery does get charge, led indicator glows red when discharged and turns white as it is fully charged.
but rest nothing happens no sign of life.

this laptop has one preexisting usbc power issue - so i use DCIN jack for charging my laptop.
with this issue my laptop was unable to power ON only sometimes i just had to wait some time.
but now nothing happens no matter how much i wait/ charge/ press and hold power button.

i have no knowledge of motherboards ....
