Source for missing laptop feet... ideas?

I have been wondering this for ages, what is a good 3rd party product/raw material, that can be used to replace those pesky rubber feet, that invariably become dislodged from their glued moorings on laptops?

Sure, you can buy them on eBay, if you want to pay upwards of, or over: $5/pad, averaging about $15-20 or more for all of them. YIKES!!!!

What do you do for replacements, any ideas?
Is there maybe a place you have found a suitably thick and malleable raw sheet of natural rubber that you buy, where you can cut your own from it??

As for glue, I used to wonder on this too, as std. rubber cement doesn't work so well. But then I found 3M's spray adhesive products... AMAZING!!!! So I think this should be good. Thoughts?

    Thanks!!!!

If the pipeline doesn't have cover on memory, like chip set and memory with pads, I use cooper pads.
The ideea of cooper pads for me its that it makes a good transfer because its cooper and in the same time it make a pressure on the chip so it won't lift and make a bad joint.
    My opinion.
Just cook it! It's already broken.

I never bothered missing rubber feets but I guess coin size gaskets will do the trick, if owner do not have aesthetic concerns

i used some feet from furniture stores like spidey suggested, but the originals were rubber ones, while those are some cheap plastic-foam like.

You can get a rubber sheet and cut out the shape of the pad, and then glue it on :P

Sometimes only one rubber is missing. What i do is cut half the remaining rubber and use silicon sealant to glue and fill the empty space on the slot. You need to shape it though. Silicon sealant can survive from excessive heat.

That's what I was thinking, but where to get a rubber sheet locally? It seems whenever I go looking for such basic materials... no one has it, forcing me to order it on the interwebs and spend hours looking for it.
I really do try to buy local, when I can find it, or don't get ripped off when I do find it.
Thought about Amazon... talk about a dizzying number of options.

Do you have any photos of what you're talking about? I'm just having trouble fully envisioning this, but I have a bit of an idea.
What sort of silicon sealant, many many sub types and brands, do you use that works well for this?

I wonder if you could a hot glue gun and shape the result?
The plastic from the hot glue is quite soft....

Pastboy, I actually had the same idea. The material would very rubber-like. Don't have glue gun though and and it would not be easy to shape a nice pad with my clumsy fingers.

It would work for a little bit, but eventually it would fall off - all depends on how much use the laptop sees and how it's treated. Also depends on the plastic of the laptop too. Hot glue doesn't adhere that well to the older "rough-looking" ABS plastic. Haven't tried it on the newer smoother ones. Works great on acrylic/plexiglass, though.

I've used hot glue in a tremendous number of repairs (I know, that sounds horrible, doesn't it?). While hot glue is soft, it doesn't like being flexed too much. And if the bottom of the laptop runs warm, that wouldn't work so well with the hot glue either as hot glue hates warm/cold thermal cycles.

One thing you can try for rubber feet is shower pan liner. It's PVC, but it's very soft and almost like rubber.
Bike inner tube is another option.
