    LA-L246P & kbc MEC1515-NM

Well at this board I had shorted 3V line and burned the 3V buck converter.
I replaced the converter and the MEC1515-NB that was shorting the line.
Now I get the 3V running but system is unable to power on.
So this kbc need some programming? I wasn't able to find any info.
Also it has a second internal line of pins that you can only assume that they have soldered ok.

MEC1515-NB does not currently have a programming solution for it, we had to skip a lot of boards with this error.

What is the full p/n of the original EC?

                      Is it MEC1515-NB or MEC1515-NM?

According to this YT video, no programming is required:

I dont believe the YT video from my own experience. This MEC1515 is programmable and as mentioned by@ tuan tong, there is no programming solution yet atleast in public domain.
The so called programmed chip from whatever source you buy will never work as they are all fake or not programmed with the target mb as claimed.
Only a MEC1515 from same/similar scrap mb works.
Thats what i've experienced so far. Thats why i fear repairing LA-241-43/46 etc series.

Hello, I also changed a MEC1515-NB from a Lenovo donor board to a Dell LA-L243P REV 1.0. ONLY WHEN PRESSING THE POWER BUTTON THE AMBER LIGHT COME ON AND THEN IT GOES OFF. It seems that there is no solution, simply changing it does not correct the problem. I have not yet tried changing the BIOS since this model has two

                                  Solution found.

The MEC system must be purchased with software version D0. with the option of entering a Service Tag.
Purchasing an empty system from Aliexpress will not help because the system is on an ARM core with EEPROM blocked by JTAG access. It can only be deleted.

The only solution is to buy the system officially from DELL with an empty DMI. We solder and enter the service tag and the laptop works

You only need to download the BIOS and read the ServiceTag because they often replace housings due to faulty hinges. If we enter the wrong Service Tag and it is not compatible with PCH, there will be a problem. Then replace the MEC with a new one or replace the bridge because it is not enough to reset the CMOS

I have one free deal. I bought two, one worked, the other didn't because the CPU was also damaged.

Do u have any link where u can buy this chio ready to attempt that procedure?? I have the same issues with mec 1404-nu I think 🤔 🤔, and I read a lot online and a thread from Vertyanov speaking about this specific chip, a blank chip doesn't work. But in that case supposedly if you use a chip from a donor board it will work. Now I have the same problem with a mec1515, bought a new one in AliExpress it didn't work, only amber light when I press power button, I don't believe bios solution will work because of signals measured in scope, and now I see your explanation and it's the more logical. In this case for what I understood even if I get a mec1515 from same motherboard model, I assume it will not work because of the dmi information verification?? 😔😔

                                          Hi to all,

I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...

                                          Hi all.

I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.

                                          Hoping to fix...

Running Line Voltage and Integrating LED Pods - Automotive

Howdy everyone! I hope all is well where ever you are!

I'm attempting to integrate a couple of LED pods into an automotive reverse lamp circuit. The problem being, while the vehicle is running there is a 8.5v current present on the reverse lamp power wire. Needless to say is that all LED pods and lights dimly illuminate while the 8.5v is present, so the LEDs are always powered on while the vehicle is running. When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the voltage changes to 12 volts.

I am uncertain how to convert this line into a switched 12v output line for the LED pods....

                                          hello,

there is an asus gtx1650 which displays fine in windows but if i run a benchmark test it displays artifacts and the driver crashes after a second or two.

I changed pads and thermal paste.

I run mats test but it is reporting 0 errors.

I then tried to run the mods version 400.271_1650 test, it first ran and stopped with a 'breakpoints limit reached after 5 retries' error and the fans went full speed.

After a reboot, I tried to run the test again, but now the test fails and says "ERROR: Couldn't clear GPU's interrupt...

What is this PSW1 part on a circuit board? Trying to fix a Canopus ADVC-300 DV/VHS Converter

I'm trying to fix this Canopus converter so that I can convert lots of old VHS cassettes. The problem is that it turns on for a split (and I mean split!) second, the fan jerks and then.. nothing. I've checked the power brick works. I've opened up the converter itself and been testing for shorts.

The image attached shows the on/off switch (which I've checked works) to the left of the yellow socket. Below the yellow socket is a green block marked 26 with a strange symbol at the front. Putting my probes either end of this block, on the silver parts, gives an open short...
