  • Not compatible, have several pins different and i received a laptop from a customer with a previous repair attempt and it had oz8691 instead of original oz8660, I didn't check schematics 😔😔 and I solder a new one and then I realized it cannot work, check pin 31 for example, also vdd chip. I didn't find a compatible I had to buy original...

  • Maybe this can be helpful for somebody, I managed to solve a failure in motherboard la-h501p of an acer nitro 5 laptop, all voltages were ok except vcore, and also svid_altert low, in this case it wasn't CPU or PCH dead, although in many cases it seems to be the case. The point is for some reason in this system u can have all voltages present, all pwrok rails active.indicating correct initialization of system, and PCH is not properly initialized, in my case it was a damaged resistor in a PCH pll rail, but after this i made several test because I have some doubts, u can open 24 MHz crystal and...

  • I have same problem with an acer nitro 5, mb la-h501p, original fault was water damage around KBC, replaced it and flashed with vertyanov, founded several traces damaged, and laptop worked for 15 days perfect, then it returned with this specific fault. All voltages except vcore, all pwrok high, I have vcc_sa stable because they used a resistor configuration for NO 0v vboot in this specific rail (ncp81215), so I don't have svid protocol active and have 0v in svid_alert, I suspect also about CPU but with the document u provided I'm a little bit confused. In startup sequence if vboot is programmed...

  • Re: Advantech 501 bios password

I tried that admin password with your dump and didn't work, only user password, did admin password worked for u?? I have same problem with same mb password protected, is there any tool to locate dump segment where password is located or it is stored in a different chip?? What kind of tool can I use. To decipher my original bios dump password?? Thanks in advance

  • Re: some additional about it8586e marked lenovo chip programming errors

After lot.of errors and trials I arrived to the conclusion rt809h implementation is faulty for communication protocol with ITE chips, sometimes it works for some seconds, sometimes it doesn't and at the end, I assume bad communication protocols implementation. I ordered vertyanov programmer and it's the best for all kind of KBC chips of all brands, never had more issues...

it8502 can be swaped, it is not programmable,it is an old model of ITE i think, i'm not
in my workshop in the moment, i'll check later but i'm 80% sure, if i find different i let u know, what motherboard are u repairing???

  • any database available for KBC pinout mapping using rt809h

Hello guys, anybody knows where i can download pins mapped for different KBC chips like ITE for RT809H, i know they are saved in ITE.INI file in the folder of installation and i can configure my own schemes, but sometimes saves lot of time to use preconfigured ones, when i enter the webpage for support of rt809h almost everything is in Chinese and cannot understand where to go. Thanks in advance

  • some additional about it8586e marked lenovo chip programming errors

I´ve been in the last days doing extensive research about programming ite chips, but cannot find too much info on the subject. No datasheet available of it85xx or it89xx series available, only schematics with pinout diagram, so is not so easy. Anyway, maybe somebody struggles like me trying to flash this chips. With rt809h programmer last update December 2019 got same results. For some reason IT8586e marked lenovo from 2 different lenovo MBs, nm-a311 and NM-a181, if i try to read the chip online (with flex cable attached to keyboard connector) programmer enters a loop error waiting chip to enter...

  • Re: rt809h programming it8586 error

same result, all pins configuration are OK, i checked it again directly fron programmer ñins mapped to it8586,flied 100 ecmute pin to ground, sometimes i get wait for the chip enter isp status, read tineout, other id verification error, if i press read before plugging the laptop like says in the manual i get a window error failed to enter isp status, please make sure the motherboard made suplies voltages, i plug it automatically the window closes and again waiting for chip enter isp status, i'm doing this with a working motherboard,to be 100 sure...

  • Re: rt809h programming it8586 error

smdflea do u have by any chance it8586 datahseet?i read the manual 20 times, the only thing it mentions about entering isp mode hase to do with pin100 #ecmute, i understand accesibg it soldered in motherboard maybe i have to gly that pin to ground, but soldered directly in it8xxx adaptor that pin goes to ground in the pcb layout and it didn't work also, anyway i'm teying now with a working motherboard accesibg chip online, i'll try to fly ecmute to ground,i'll post result, thanks👍

  • rt809h programming it8586 error

i've been stucked several weeks trying to flash an it8586 from lenovo using rt809h, i've done intensive search over the internet and no results, i have the it8xxx interface adaptor and cables, i tried with it8586 directly sokdered in adaptor, i got it from a different motherboard to the one i was going to use, first time i read it succesfully 3 or 4 times only for testing, i wrote the new kbc firmware for nm-a181 and verified ok and then the trouble begun. everytime i read the chip is not recognized, i tried many times, unplugged programmer restar windows, updated rt809h with latest version december...

  • Re: COMPAQ CQ62 DCin Questions Help!!!

this is an old motherboard, the old models sometimes need higher temperatures it depends even of the soldering station u have, in my experience this motherbord is not like actual mobos that u can burn them if u put the airfow and temperature too high, and also this motherboard dissipate the heat more efficientlythan newer ones,so u'll need longer time to get the chip out

  • Re: COMPAQ CQ62 DCin Questions Help!!!

the red in ground multimeter is only a reference of pn union i use for example if u want to check if an IC is low in the Vcc pin, and u messure this way, generally inside have a zener diode or sinilqr circuit for OV Protection, so u can check if the resfing is like a normal diode it's not out of parameters, if for example it reads 120 or so even if it's not shorted to ground it might be damaged, anyway it's only a method i use and normally it's easier for me to gind shir circuits in mbs,but again is only a reference. Now what's happening it's...

  • Re: COMPAQ CQ62 DCin Questions Help!!!

when u say from pr157 to ground is 9 mohms u mean miliohms or Mega ohms, and then 0.6 Mohms is Megaohms??i personaly don't work with inpedance for this measurements,it's better in diode to find the short circuits, if u messure in diode with red in ground to pr157 what's the value, and anyway ig u have 15v in pins6 7 in slot 1 measure in pl11 out to see if 3.3 v line is high, 'cause if u have 15v mantained in the mb in this line probably many things will be burned, superI/O, LAN IC, Chipset, etc

  • compaq nx6310 remove system password

Please i need help with a conpaq nx6310 mb:6050a2035001 is an old model, was not turning on cause 19V didn't pass the ac MOSFET, the issue was with lm393 circuit detecting Vac charger, now it turns on, HP logo and ask for a system password to boot or to enter setup, downloaded a bios DUMP i don't believe it has any password and flashed it, and again same problem.Something interesting is when i solder the ROM the first time i turn it on it fisplays updating keyboard controller, a question, the password can be stored in the SUPER/IO???It's SMSC KBC1021, it's the only explanation i have for what's happening,loosing...
