Available from Della and authorized sellers. You have to ask if it is clean or D0

            Thanks Varon23,

After replacing the MEC1515, the laptop will go into "Manufacturing mode Active"
Problem is: Laptop does not save the Service Tag. After saving and restarting laptop the service tag remains empty, moreover the cooling fan is spinning at full capacity (bios problem?)
            Bios attached,
            TAG service:6QTYKG3
            model: Dell 7506 2 IN 1

Does anyone have info how to obtain the firmware for MEC1515-NB (Let's suppose programming is possible) and which size is it?
I don't provide help for people using CH341A and a clip.

Here`s some info from the MEC140x datasheet about a crisis recovery .

So if I understand correctly, if the chip goes into crisis recovery, it should pull the firmware from the main bios? Although I'm not sure if 14XX have the same principle as 15XX, the datasheet for 1515 seems impossible to find.

You also need to pay attention to the CPU.

I fixed one Dell. But at the second with the same defect, it turned out that after replacing MEC is still dead. CPU-Bridge was also damaged.

I had a board with burnt 1.8V power chip, i replaced it with SY8388RHC(Kdxxx marking ), and now i have the voltage all across the board , but MCE1515 is getting hot ,laptop dead, soemtimes orange light for charging goes on , so there is no repair? 20V probably went directly to him?

                                        by MobsterLobster
Generic aliexpress PCIE data line tester sort of died, A channel barely ever works. Spent forever getting my head around how it works and then fixing it, and thought I'd share.

When button is pressed, the 555 timer makes 93% duty cycle 56hz (the sort of the important part of this) signal at about ~3.6v, that is sent to the ground pins of the pcie slot. On the B channel LEDs that passes straight to each data line and to the anode of the 32 x B channel LEDs to turn each one on. The A channel is quite different as their is a capacitor on each data line (won't let that DC signal through)....

                                        Hi everyone,

Before getting into my question, I wanted to mention that I’ve been a registered member here for a while now and I am also a paid subscriber. I currently have a PS5 Slim motherboard (EDM-041) on the bench. The client turned off the console normally after playing. The sudden "pop" happened precisely when he pressed the power button to turn it back on. Now the console is completely dead, drawing...

For BIOS programming on MSI motherboards with AMD processors, it is necessary to connect the power supply and power on the motherboard in order to perform the programming process correctly. On MSI motherboards based on the Intel platform, it is not necessary to power on the board; simply supplying power to the motherboard is sufficient for the programming process to work properly. In neither case is it necessary to install RAM or a processor during the procedure. This process has been personally tested and verified using the JTPM1 connector as the programming interface, obtaining successful results...

I saw In YouTube they cut on the buffer boards…I ll have better image? I think the faulty is on the right side panel. Because if I plug off the flat dark orange the tv stay on. So the problem should be on the right side. But if I tape the right or the left I still have a image with this horizontal line. I try to cover pin from 16 to 21. ASUS FX516PC - IT5125VG-192 - Does this EC support auto-programming?
                                        by ictc
                                        Hi everyone,

I'm repairing an ASUS FX516PC with an ITE IT5125VG-192 EC.

I have the schematic, boardview and the original BIOS dump, and I'm trying to understand the correct way to recover or replace this EC.

                                        My main question is:

Does the IT5125VG-192 on the ASUS FX516PC support auto-programming (self-programming) from the SPI BIOS after replacement, or does it always require external programming before installation?

I've found conflicting information regarding recent ITE ECs. Some technicians report that certain ASUS platforms automatically...
