    Kogan - KALED65XU9220STB - Blue Vertical Line

    Hi all.

    I have a Kogan 65' LCD Panel with a thin blue vertical line (top to bottom) on left hand side of panel.
    The line just happens to coincide with the end of COF and start of the next COF (attached).

    The line is permanent no matter what I've tried. I've tried pressure testing the panel (top to bottom) and all over, I didn't notice any difference with the line, either temporary or semi-permanent.

    Also tried unplugging all flex cables, cleaned with isopropyl then re-inserting to no avail - line remains.


    Hoping to fix / repair this issue as the panel seems decent and shame to throw away.

      The problem is in the panel itself, such a defect cannot be corrected.

          I was kinda hoping to not throw it away, seems a shame, but what I can do is scrap for parts.

              My Father called me he has a Vizio E60-c3 that's probably 3-4-5 years old but it has a thin blue line running down the center of the screen (photo) I tried a couple things but I'm sure one of you all have seen this already.               Got UE58TU7100K with no picture - backlight comes on though. Figured out that's a perfect candidate for cut tape method.

              This model has just one LVDS tape coming off main board - and two panel boards underneath the LCD screen are connected to each other via small tape. Like curved screens. I've tried to disconnect half of the screen (5he side without LVDS connector on it, obviously), no joy.

              Thanks for offering your assistance with this. I'm an electronics enthusiast with moderate level of competence (have a decent lab with two power supplies, microscope, DSO, hot air, good iron, can competently work at a component level on SMDs, design and solder own PCBs etc).               Dear All,

              I have 7yrs old LG OLED 55EC930v. One day a white line appeared on mid of the screen. 10mins later it was disappeared. When turned on tv again it was appeared again. Currently when power on tv is clicking sound relay, LG logo illuminates, 3 seconds later clicking sound relay and tv goes off. Screen is black during this on off period.
