Hi all!
Im here for the same problem, 27gl650 dead...
I think my problem is IC401, it gets extremely hot in less than a second.
Reading here, the MP2122GJ can be better than the original and perfect for a replacement.
However, I would also like to order some spare ICs for IC402 and IC400 but i can't find what they are.
I have IAGCN for the 402 and IAQTP for the 400.
Can someone help me identifying those?
Thanks!
PS. I have a lot of cap shorted to gnd around the 401, like C438 C439 C444 C403 C401... i will desolder the ic and test again later in the dayLast edited by Pickanick64; 11-25-2024, 06:15 AM.Comment

Removed IC401, all shorts on caps disappeared!
Ordered new components for IC401 and 402 (not shure if is working or not).
For the C508 shorted near the audio jack: if you plug a jack, the short will go away. i think is intended to work this way.Comment

Great news, found some MP9148 (the original IC401) lying around and tried to replace it: MONITOR WORKING!
I take some measurement for the IC401, 402 and 400 if someone need them, from pin1 to pin8:
400: 300mV 19V 3,3V 0V 8V 2,4V 5V 790mV
401: 609mV 3,3V 1,1V 3,3V 0V 1,8V 5V 609mV
402: 286mV 19V 12,8V 0V 15V 3,3V 4,8V 800mV

My CPU, the big processor on the Board is getting very very hot until seconds.
I cant find where to buy the PCB.
I have an LG 27GL63T-B
but my board is from LG 27GL650.
My case only has ONE hdmi port.
where can i buy an PCB compatible with mine?
I can also buy an PCB with 2 HDMIs instead of 1.
I think if its working i can modify the case if needed.
The seller from non business has already opened the TFT i think.
The TFT is from 2019. On the Board is written 2022 and some screws are missing and so on.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

Hey guys. I got a dead LG 27GL650F-B monitor (no power). So i readed this thread and checked the IC401 voltages. On the pin3 missing 1,2V and pin6 missing 1,8V. In my country only availabe the MP2122AGJ component. Succesfully changed the IC401 and the monitor started working. WOW! Thank you guys for the information. Great community.Comment

Hi all,
my 27GN750 also died. The board shows 4 hotstops.
IC202 (CPU), IC701 (marked TUSB8041I) and both buck converters close to the two bigger chips. The one under the CPU in my pic is the biggest hotspot. Would you change the converters before changing the CPU? Around 40c on the CPU doesn't seem too hot since it also has a big cooling pad.

Well, 40 degrees on the processor doesn't mean anything (this is a normal temperature, when it works its temperature is even higher), it's the processor that should be heating up, you need to check the voltage and resistance on these inductors relative to the ground.Hi all,

Thank you for your help. I had too much focus on the thermal cam. I found L407 (in by board L408) short. Removed the inductor and got 24 ohm back. So should be fine for a low voltage rail? Short on converter side stays.Last edited by dbuergi; 09-10-2025, 03:54 AM.Comment

Had the same issue with my board, no output from IC401.
Managed to get the MP9148GJ-Z replacement for IC401 from Ali Express. did take 6 weeks to arrive.
Ordered this from Ali Express https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...5ef91802li8sFa
luckily i ordered a batch of 10 of these IC's, pricing was great from Ali Express, i replaced the chip, but still had no output, only after replacing the chip by the 3rd time i managed to come right and had output from IC401, hence why i say luckily i had ordered 10 IC's. which means 2 of them were DUD's
.
After i had output from IC401, the screen worked. lets hope it stays that way.... Fingers crossed.
I do want to thank all those whom took the time to explain and help with diagnosing the problem, without this article, i would have still been looking at the board and scratching my head

LG 27GL63T-B - EAX68524502(1.1) - IC401 = IAKXM. L407 - 1v2 and L408 - 1v8. Shorted to GND on L407, but only when you plug it in, not always. I used LM1117 for 1v8 and an ups from Aliexpress for 1v2. It's not the only one that i repaired this way (when was about IC401), so you can trust this method.Attached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

by max-powerHi, I disassemble my laptop to replace the speakers, to access them, you have to remove everything including the heat sink and fan, unscrew the motherboard, lift it up a bit to access the speaker wire.
that was not the first time I dissasemble it, i did replace the same speaker a few year ago and I repaste it last year, so I had nothing to worry about. but when I put everything back together, its completely dead.
After a bit of investigating, i found one pin of the status led ribbon cable that was unglued from the cable and bend touching another pin, I bend it back at his place... -
by wangbreezeHello Gurus,
I got a ThinkPad T480s. It was running fine but suddenly started random shut down. When it turned off, I had to push the reset pin to bring it back to life. But it got aggressively worse and became completely dead. No charging light, no life.
I did some initial diagnostics with just the board (no battery, nothing attached, and no CMOS battery as well)
Initial testing of the coil resistance seems to indicate no dead short. The only low resistance I measured was at PL701. It reads 38 ohms.
charger gave - 20V - ok

by pavskiTrying to troubleshoot MSI z490 tomahawk board and would appreciate your help. The board is completely dead and shows no activity when the power button is pressed.
I have tried to look at the Superio, the PSIN signal seems to be correct (goes from 3.3V to 0 on button press) but the voltage on PSOUT pin is quite low. I
t is only 0.8V which seems to be incorrect but goes to 0 when the button is pressed.
Can you please let me know if this is indeed incorrect and what else should I look at next?
Thanks! -
by AndreasbestHello.
I received a T14s Gen1 ( NM-C891 motherboard ) that is completely dead, no indication of life at all.
I tried hard reset without RTC battery and short both pins of it for 1 minute but no luck.
Since it's type C connector i have no idea what to measure or where to inject voltage, so any advice are welcomed
Thank you in advance!
