Both transformers showed equal amplitudes when measured with the scope, so I can't get it why one would have shorted turn(s)?

      not probed on.

I held probe body against the transformer at .1V/div.

        ok guys,
never had a blown transformer on these inverterboards.
so stop fumbling around and check this when your solderskills and tools are appropriate:

        1. 4 smd-type resistors r11-r14 in one row with 271 printed on them:
solderpoints most commonly weak, resolder and test unit, most times your ok now otherwise go on:

        2. check smd-type fuse f1 located between connector cn1 and capacitor c1: replace if broken. (3amp ff-type) do not test unit until:

        3. test q8 and q9 ok, you should know how to do it. replace if broken. (fmmt619 or equal) and test unit. should be fine now.

if inverter still fails to work you most probably killed it yourself during repair attempts not following the three steps above and/or lack of appropriate solderskills and tools.

        that´s it.

        sorry for joining that late

There are only a few part numbers and values on this reverse engineered drawing. Does any one know the fuse current rating of F1?

How can I be sure that my EC chip is dead?
            by double_DD
            Hi all,

As the title suggests, how can I be sure that my EC chip is really dead?

I've recently gotten into this hobby of laptop repairs, and have successfully brought back to life a couple with some easy fixes, mostly shorted caps.

Now I'm working on HP Probook 455 G8, that had some "devil" run around on 3V line, burning a bunch of stuff. Luckily I have a dead 455G7 (for spare parts) so I managed to fix it (swapped burned parts) to a point that it will charge (both on barrel jack and usb-c), but it doesn't want to turn on. There is a 3V3 on a keyboard...

Vizio E55-E1 bad backlights or bad inverter?
            by x_orange90_x
I just got this tv today and it appeared to have no backlight on. After taking off the rear cover and checking again in the dark I can see that MAYBE one quadrant is lit.. But still it's quite dim. I was going to check the LEDs with my tester, and I found LED 1 and LED 2 + pins on the wire from the inverter, but I couldn't identify a ground. Nonetheless I tried using a mounting screw on the inverter board and also the chassis as ground but regardless my tester reads 300 which is what it reads when there is no voltage draw.

I don't know how exactly to test the inverter itself. Is it...

            APSINT3636VR 3600W APS INT Series 36V DC 230V AC Inverter/Charger schematic

I have a tripp-lite aspint 3636vr inverter charger which blow some of mosfet transistors. I replaced them repaired also the driver circuit and tested but the mosfets burn again.

It work very well as inverter and also as charger if I let the rear switch in auto mode (inverter) and charger only(charging) but in auto when I connect the feed line 220V AC first time it pass ok to line and start charging the batteries but when I remove the feed line it pass to inverter mode and if I do it again the second time when passing from charging to inverter the Main transformer start making a...

Insignia NS-LCD19-09 (PS OK, Inverter problem?)
            by valvashon
For some reason I'm just not going to let this 19" TV defeat me. I guess because I have a schematic to work from I feel like I'm oh so close.

History- while adding a turn-on circuit I let a small screw roll under the power board. Worked through all of that circuitry, probably replacing a MOSFET and PWM controller that were not bad but I was following the service manual. Finally figured out that the power supply is in working order when the inverter section (for the backlights) is disconnected. When the +12 supply to the inverter is disconnected the +12 and +5 will come up...

            hello guys,

            i need help to repair a edm-033 ps2
history : as always hdmi port and usb ports destroyed after unplugged
after change them, ps5 dead too : 1 beep, no blue light. after inspection 1.8v power was shorted, and because of dead panasonic chip. after remove it : no short anymore
            so i changed it
now i have got 5v stby,, 3.3v stby, 3.3v power, 1.8v power and no short on them
but the ps5 is dead again : 1 beep, near 10 seconds with power lines and then off, no blue light ...

i don't see any projection of liquid metal on pcb.
