Yes - that looks better eh? - Can you test the other pins. I see there is a ground on the iC use that if it is any easier.

Near the white label tucked under a link wire there is a transistor on 3 thin legs
I think this is a reference transistor can you read the part number.

Something else to try - connect it all up lamps as well then remove the connector that goes from the main to the panel - may come on with white screen - when switched on

        Re: Hyundai l50s - dead

        Yes, the transistor/IC is a TL431-A335

On ICE2AS01 usin pin 7 as ground, I get the following voltages. "f" means the voltage fluctuates between the values, every second or so.

        1 0
        2 f 0 - 1.3
        3 f 0 - 2.5
        4 0
        5 f 0 - 0.5
        6 f 9.5 - 13
        8 0

Tried the test with lamps connected, then removed connector from main to panel, but still no life from it.

Ok not sure if they are good or not! can you test the TL431
          - see here

Also check the voltage on it and D104 relative to chassis ground(secondary)

It can be that the loads drawing too much current so the SMPS is in the shutdown-startup loop.
Check the rectifiers for the 5V and the 12V circuits, then you can disconnect the 12V feeding the inverter section to take the load away.

Zombie Samsung UN55NU6900F dead / no standby voltage - randomly came to life after hours of troubleshooting then died
              by tvguy12012012120
This is my first attempt at troubleshooting a board like this, I know I could just buy a new board but I'm curious to figure out how this works. I've been testing different components in the evenings this week and I think the problem is with the IC failing to start up for some reason. When the board is plugged in there is no standby voltage.

Then today it randomly sprung to life like a zombie but shortly died thereafter. I have no idea why it would have done that and its the first time I've seen it running. I discharged capacitors on the board last night, then it was sitting today....

Yoga3 Pro-1370 Board NM-A321 DEAD no power at all
              by k370
              Hi everyone,

I have a NM-A321 board that is dead, with no power at all.

When I received the laptop, the +5VPMIC line was shorted. Removing the PU3 (ISL95905) solved the short, so I ordered and replaced the ISL.

With the new ISL, the short is gone, but still no voltages at all. I measured the following rails:
              • +3VALW
              • +5VAUX
              • 1.2VSUS_PWRGD
              • 3VALW_PGD
              • 1.05VAUX_PWRGD

Additionally, the ISL95906 (PU3) is not getting any voltage on the VIN rail.

The only place on the board where I find any voltage is on the first MOSFETs, specifically:...

              • TV came with vertical bars and no image. Found faulty TVS on left buffer board. Also replaced T-Con (may have damaged the original while hot air removing components, board has slight warp) and have full image but few horizontal lines on the screen. Some of the lines appears to be 2 pixel tall while others are 1 pixel tall.
              • Disconnecting left and right buffer board potentially reveals problems on both sides with different signals (unless this T-Con require jumper like Samsung FB_TRDY1&3) Fault

Engineering help - how does the charging circuit on this board work?
              by repair-it
This board attaches to 2 12v batteries in tandum (Black/Red squares). There is a 24v power supply that attaches at the 2 pin molex connector (circled in red). I need help to determine which components run the charging circuit in an effort to determine a point of failure. There are multiple via's, making it difficult to trace the circuit. Nothing appears to be shorted but I wasn't able to fully test as I do not have 2 12v batteries available. My assumption is that the micro controller (red question mark) determines when to turn the charging circuit on & off. I'm pretty sure a regulator and...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...
