Identify component on LCD inverter board

Hi. I've located the damaged component on an LCD panel used in an industrial EDM wire machine. Need help identifying a viable replacement.

    The monitor: NEC NL6448AC30-10
    Inverter board part: NEC HBL015

The chip itself looks like a DPAK type transistor and has "KI472 4H" on it... unless that I is actually a 1? Does anyone know how to track down this component, or know enough about lcd inverter circuitry to suggest a general replacement?

This component is on the opposite side of the board from the two inductors and two capacitors, as you'll see in the picture. The damage is showing through, so I may end up replacing these components as well.

    Thanks for the help.

Possibly a 2SK1472 N-channel mosfet used in high speed switching applications.

      I agree,
      Part number 2SK1472
Category Discrete => Transistors => FETs (Field Effect Transistors) => MOSFETs
Description N-channel MOS Silicon Fet, Very High-speed Switching Application
      Company Sanyo Semiconductor Corporation

F1 fuse (with 50 on top) is OK?
Can I see the pictures of the whole board, both sides? That MOSFET looks like it is used for PWM for variable B+ feeding the the MOSFETs that drive the Royer Oscillator circuit.

just replace that inverter with a universal one.

Thanks for the quick responses, guys. I uploaded more complete pictures... yes F1 is still passing current.

Any tips on the important characteristics to match for a more modern replacement? 2SK1472 doesn't seem widely available - I'd rather get a newer equivalent.

            Thanks again.

ON Semiconductor shows a NTD3055-094 as a possible sub.
