@davethompson - That's either a T-con problem or a bad connection on the panel ribbon cable where it bonds to the panel. You can try unplugging both cables from the T-con and cleaning them using a contact cleaner such as DeoxIT.

I have a 245BW that exhibits this behavior. A sharp smack on the side or back usually makes it work again. I've had it run for hours and suddenly go dark. *SMACK* and it's back. lol

@Poca44 - Welcome to the forums!

What makes you believe you need that particular transformer?

Transformers of this type and location are a rare failure. It would be less expensive and time consuming by replacing the entire board.

Hi, thank you for quick respond
3 contacts of transformer are burned...they were covered with factory glue, and they burned

            Hi Poca44,

Then I would suggest you acquire another board. Those were made (as are most) for that specific PSU board. Remember that a BN44-00173A can also be used.

I've looked for these types before and IF they are available, the sale is usually on a RFQ basis (Request For Quote). The sellers (wholesalers) bought the remaining stock from the manufacturer and are interested in selling lots of 100 to 10,000 pieces only. Not 1 transformer.

Have you removed the transformer from the board and checked it? Just because the contacts burned, does not mean it's bad.

            Good Hunting!

Is there some replacement for this transformer?
I have removed transformer, and 2 contacts explodes, third contact survived

I found endings and i made new contacts!
But when i opening transformer, part of magnet cracked
i glue it together after i made new contacts
                  It will work???-because magnet cracked

It may work but likely not as well as before, if there is any gap in the core. So you may in fact have no choice but to get new transformer\board.

                        Hello everyone!
I hope this thread is still alive!
I have a broken samsung 2493HM monitor with a power board BN44-00195A. The previous owner described that there was a small exploding sound before the monitor went wrong. However I cannot find any broken parts on the board. I have read all previous posts regarding this power board, and this far I have removed the factory glue and re soldered the main parts. All SMD resistors, diodes, the fuse resistor, the FATs are looking OK, but the power LED is blinking, and there is a random sizzling sound coming from the board. Is there any suggestion what I should check, or replace?
                        Two pictures from the board:

check the resistor infront of QM802. I have the same problem but not found the issue yet.

Can you measure the voltages and are they there or stable -- i reckon you check the main filter cap.

Could have blown without visible signs, or maybe blown on the bottom or back where you can't see it.
Sometimes semiconductors can blow with very small holes which are almost unnoticeable.

Like Pauldesign says, check all your output voltages and the voltage on the primary capacitor. Write what you get.

There are three output connectors, list the connectors, pin names, and what voltage you measured on each pin.

                                Hi folks,

New forum member here, and I am in the same boat. I've got two BN44-00195A power boards and one of them fails to power up the display. So far I checked the CCFL's, inverter and logic boards, and swapped the power board with a different one. After that step all is fine again. So it is clearly a power board failure.

Capacitors look fine. No bulging. I do not have a EDS meter. Unfortunately, and thus I am unable to verify them but it looks like another 24v issue.

I am currently in the process of removing the glue from resistors and capacitors, so that I can verify them.

I'll keep you posted of all progress, and thanks a zillion for the great help so far (from reading various post from other forum members).

                                    model 245BPLUS power BN44-00195A

Problem is not the same, it was in standbye mode, and after 2 hours no power on no standbye mode also blue led is off.

                                    330v present in cp801s
5,2v is present in stby pinout and cb852
                                    no 24v !!

all part seems to be ok.

                                    can expert help ?

                                    thanks in advance.

Check the capacitance of that blue rectangular cap CM812, remove it and test it off the board.
I see lots of bad brown glues that will become conductive and will cause bad damages if you do not remove them or you will ending up with something like these:
                                      https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...ight=bad+glues
One small blue disk cap just right above CM812 is fully covered with bad glue, that is high Voltage section for driving the 24V power transformer.

I see lots of bad brown glues that will become conductive and will cause bad damages if you do not remove them or you will ending up with something like these:

i removed all glues on board, and not solve the problem, is it normal that no voltage on any pin of ICM801 ? what can i check ? change all CAP ? (seems to be ok )

But did you check the capacitance of that blue rectangular cap that I ask you to test?
That is the common failure cap in the 24V power supply section.
BTW, PS-ON has to be present to turn on the 24V power supply section, you do have that command signal, right?

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

This Samsung combined power supply and inverter was replaced a while ago from a Samsung 37inch LE37B530P7W TV. However I would like to repair this one.
I have replaced the Mosfets Q1820 and Q1821 ( FDPF7N50U) which were both blown and the fuse FM802S. The schematic for this power supply that is attached doesn't relate to this power supply as the driving transistors and diodes are D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 are nowhere on the schematic!
Does anyone know what the components for D1830, D1831, D1832, D1833, Q1811 & Q1810 should be? I ask as I did change the Mosfets...
