    hum after recap

I am working on a cheap all in one radio IHOME I think, cd player ext it has one dead channel and had a blown cap and two more had swelling so for practice I decided to try and fix it, the re cap went fine the channel is still dead and now it has a hum, when you change stations it plays for about 2 seconds and then the hum takers over, I suspect maybe another bad cap, maybe the radio plays until a cap discharges and cant recharge, it is almost like a volume control , also It had united (M) caps but not knowing I put in Robertson (ZLG) caps in would that Couse the hum.

    Thank you for reading this.

      united / robertson????

      (M) is Matsushita - aka Panasonic.
      ZLG is made by Rubycon.

Yes , Sorry it is Rubycon but the M cap does say United on it.

I would like to know if it is possible for the Caps I have replaced to cause a HUM, it is in both channels and it was not there before witch leads me to think maybe the amp is bad and now that all the caps are good it is acting up, I will have to test it also but did not know if the capos can cause the hum by using ZLG and not M.

Thank you and sorry for the mix up on the name.

ZLG is a bit extreme, but it may not be the problem.

          have you got any foto's?
