not to offend, only to make a point, but tc, your site has a bit of spam too, look at that damned antec banner! i know why it is there, but i havehad no issues in chrome, i like it, and it is not maliciously "spying on me". unless you can prove that it has f***ed us all, i will stay with it.
    Dude, you are truly lost.

Umm, they pay to have that there, which means its paid advertising...hence,not spam..... Know wtf you're talking about before you spout off again.

As for chrome, google it.... lol

i thought they paid for it ages ago in free crap... it is kinda like spam in the fact we bad mouth them so much and yet we have ads for them...

as for dumping chrome, i would lose:

        chome's theme library
        bookmark sync
        ubuntu repository updates
auto install of menu icons in ubintu (i can add it manually but it is a PITA)

i really have had no problems. give me PROOF that i could be screwed... just don't say "ur lost dude"... imagine what would happen if that is all your gps unit would ever say... see what i mean? not helpful or convincing?

They paid with over 5 grand worth of various hardware over the years, and anytime I need anything, I get it. Speaking of which, I should probably ask them if they want a newer banner, the current one is about 2 years old... Look up what the word "spam" means, you obviously don't have a clue. Them sponsoring the forum does not make them immune when they turn out a crap product (mainly PSU's, they have always made top-notch cases), which is why I won't cover for them.....but Antec makes a LOT fo very high-end and nice products as well. Anything else you care to ASSume?

As for chrome, I still don't give a shit. It's none of their business what I search, nor will I contribute anything to their corporation. That is my choice, you may make your own choice.

You got the letters backwards. It's Firefox FTW!

SRWare Iron The browser of the future - based on the free Sourcecode "Chromium" - without any problems at privacy and security

Click on your flag, Software, Iron, and Chrome vs Iron.

Google Chrome doesn't have enough market share to be worth spying on. The more the market share grows the more important spying will be. I vote Firefox to eliminate that problem before it starts.

Besides, Firefox was ready for prime time many versions ago. Chrome isn't even close and without market share never will be.

firefox is bloated imho... boot chome, runs fine. start ff, my computer slows to a crawl.

the layout of chrome is better imho...

                          Re: Firefox.. FTW?!

Uninstall Firefox and run these commands from a .BAT file.
                          Code:
                          rd /s /q "%USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox"
                          rd /s /q "%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox"
                          rd /s /q "%ProgramFiles%\Mozilla Firefox"
                          Reinstall Firefox.

Whatever is broken with Firefox will cease to be broken.

Can't do this with Internet Explorer. When it breaks, it's broken until the next version, and often remains broken after the upgrade. Internet Explorer works a lot better when you don't use it.

see? no need for 3 spywares running at a time... my parents use comodo on thier xp boxes, and no spyware issues... not like mccaffe, which was the biggest cup of fail ever, after norton.
Comodo has no protection against malicious active-x controls which can be force fed to you by about any banner ad on the web.

To make matters worse Comodo USES active-x controls so spywares that cover active-x issues probably won't work with it installed.

yep. discovered that after using it for a while that there was a reason why comodo sucked. still using AVG after a million years both paid and free.

linux sucks. well at least ubuntu. can't stand it. if you're gonna have a custom OS, why get suckered into something pre-formed? archlinux ftw. not gentoo, same philosophy i guess but gentoo ricers are annoying.

the main reason nothing else is targeted is because no one else is using it. even OSX had a shitload of exploits but no one cared.

Relatively new to TV repair - as you will see. Rescued this TV from the curb. No backlights, but I could see an image on LCD with flashlight, so suspected bad LED strips. When I got to the part of lifting the LCD off the frame, it was stuck a little bit from some tape used to hold down a thin layer of foam around the frame. I saw 8 tabs on each side of the LCD that I haven't seen on any of the 3 TVs that I have taken apart before. I immediately thought, wow the engineers that designed this were thinking about the serviceman when they put these lift tabs on here - good for them. So I started yanking...

Now that I have your attention:

In the last few days, it looks like Firefox has changed their software terms so they are now evil and WILL sell your data.

I already use Palemoon for Win7 sometimes. Looks like I'll be switching to librewolf as well, as Youtuber Louis Rossman suggests. Palemoon still supports Win7, but sometimes pages don't work properly. The Google Chrome browser might also still work for Win7.

I will have no choice but to upgrade my Firefox, so that I can copy dozens of tabs into a document or spreadsheet, or go through the history to...

o, customer gave me this, keyboard had issues with keys and cleaning them did not seem to fix them, so replaced keyboard

On reassembly, MHF4 connectors on wifi antenna were warped, bent up wifi card connectors (didn't see until did a high magnification on them)

Ordered new a antenna, wifi card. Went to replace it and all the tabs where the screen cable/antenna holder broke when I was trying ti take it apart (non marring pry tool)

I noticed the keyboard had a copper sheet. Further looking into this, it's because how hot this thing ran (nvidia gpu and...

Toshiba TV bad panel half screen dark - pull tabs or not?
                                            by ashyt16
Hi fellas, I have a Toshiba 50u6863db (vestel crap) here belonging to a family member.
The TV was given me to repair (possibly) as it had developed a blank screen, just back lights and sound.

Upon further investigation it turned out one of her cats had sprayed on the screen as I could see it on the edge of the panel and tabs and it stank. Looks like it probably shorted the circuitry. I cleaned it up and still the same.

I initially suspected Tcon board as none of the test points were showing correct voltages. Tried removing one LVDS cable at a time, same result....
