Older, hotter ran laptops breaking tabs related? (XPS 15 P31F)

o, customer gave me this, keyboard had issues with keys and cleaning them did not seem to fix them, so replaced keyboard

On reassembly, MHF4 connectors on wifi antenna were warped, bent up wifi card connectors (didn't see until did a high magnification on them)

Ordered new a antenna, wifi card. Went to replace it and all the tabs where the screen cable/antenna holder broke when I was trying ti take it apart (non marring pry tool)

I noticed the keyboard had a copper sheet. Further looking into this, it's because how hot this thing ran (nvidia gpu and intel i5), dell didn't want the heat to get too much into the keyboard

could the problem with the tabs, not only on the holder, but a few when I first took apart the bottom, be because of how hot this thing got over so many years caused the shell to get soft enough to bond? Especially where the wires are hidden, that is an even softer plastic, This thing is a decade+ old. Nvidia runs hot, plus a high enough i5 (4th gen I think), constant heat could have caused the keyboard issues as well? Over time heat/cold cycles?

what is a good expoxy to use to get this carefully back together. Need to be precise, with little cleanup

cpu getting hotter as it gets older...
    by eccerr0r
Curious if anyone has seen this behavior or not, or could it be simply explained by a very obvious reason...

... is it common for a cpu at the same clock rate and voltage to get hotter (perhaps, draw more current) as it gets older?

The obvious reason... fan clogging up with dust or heatsink compound drying up, of course. Or perhaps it's possible for the heatsink to not be as effective as before, should heatsinks' fins be cleaned with more than just compressed air/vacuum? Perhaps dunked into a ultrasonic bath? Then perhaps the heatsink should be replaced (with like, since...

Vizio D55un-E1 COF Lifting Tabs - Not!
    by rblack711
Relatively new to TV repair - as you will see. Rescued this TV from the curb. No backlights, but I could see an image on LCD with flashlight, so suspected bad LED strips. When I got to the part of lifting the LCD off the frame, it was stuck a little bit from some tape used to hold down a thin layer of foam around the frame. I saw 8 tabs on each side of the LCD that I haven't seen on any of the 3 TVs that I have taken apart before. I immediately thought, wow the engineers that designed this were thinking about the serviceman when they put these lift tabs on here - good for them. So I started yanking...

Soldered wifi upgrade to wifi 7 BE200D2W from older AX2xx based moduels.
    by acedogblast
I have finally found a source for Intel's BE200 wifi soldered "1216" sized modules (not the larger 2230 removable M.2 modules) and I was wondering if it is possible to swap the older AX2xxD2W wifi 6/6e with this new wifi 7 module on a laptop. Supposedly both the BE200D2W and the older AX2xxD2W chips use the standard "M.2 1216 footprint" but with an additional inner-ring of pads. We have schematics of various laptops that use the AX2xxD2W chips on this forum. What we need is a schematic of a laptop that uses the new BE200D2W to check if the pinout is identical or not. Do anyone...

Toshiba TV bad panel half screen dark - pull tabs or not?
    by ashyt16
Hi fellas, I have a Toshiba 50u6863db (vestel crap) here belonging to a family member.
The TV was given me to repair (possibly) as it had developed a blank screen, just back lights and sound.

Upon further investigation it turned out one of her cats had sprayed on the screen as I could see it on the edge of the panel and tabs and it stank. Looks like it probably shorted the circuitry. I cleaned it up and still the same.

I initially suspected Tcon board as none of the test points were showing correct voltages. Tried removing one LVDS cable at a time, same result....
