CPU load-line calibration can improve stability

On a system with a 2.13GHz Core 2 E6400 overclocked to 3.2GHz (800MHz FSB) on a Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R motherboard, it gave BSODs when playing the Sims 2 (intensive application), despite a large Zalman heatsink.

Since I enabled "Load-Line Calibration", I have yet to see another BSOD.

If you're overclocking, try enabling this option if you are having problems, even if you have a decent heatsink.
My first choice in quality Japanese electrolytics is Nippon Chemi-Con, which has been in business since 1931... the quality of electronics is dependent on the quality of the electrolytics.

Not recommended, can cause overshoot of VID and makes the VRM work much harder
Better to just increase vcore untill it becomes stable, or simply step back on the OC

Yeah, I had that enabled on my GA-EX58-UD5 until I found that article. I read that and I went *lightbulb*; no wonder I can run Prime95 for days, but give it a varying load and expect a random hard lock. I had to bump the vcore setting up a bunch, but true loaded voltage is the same.
I also discovered later how much heat affects voltage requirements on accident. It was running stable for days then it got up to about 30C in my room. Internal case temps hit 45C and it hard locked. Pulled vcore, instant crash booting. Bumped it two notches. So now my standard is at least one notch above stable to provide for temperature increases.

Even better than that for stability is to remove your spam garbage from your sig!! Now that I've removed it, the forum runs with more stability!!

Seeking Advice on Enhancing Heatsink for Main Processor on SAMSUNG TV Motherboard
          by Ven
          Hello everyone,

I'm looking to upgrade the heatsink on the main processor of my TV's motherboard for better cooling performance.

The current heatsink is a square-shaped one (2.8cm x 2.8cn) with a basic design, and I believe a more efficient heatsink could help with thermal management and potentially extend the life of the TV.

I'd appreciate any advice on the best type of heatsink to use, specific product recommendations, and tips for installation.

If you've done a similar upgrade, I'd love to hear about your experience and any challenges you...

          Hisense calibration
          by jaco2d
Hi i recently purchased a Hisense u7hqtuk TV, there is 2 different version of this set, the UK, Europe one and the America one, i have the UK and Europe version.
I have searched for calibration for the TV but i can only find it for the America one which has 1000 nits, the version i have has got 600 nits so the calibration settings will not work.
Has anyone got this TV and managed to get good picture setting for it or can anyone find a link to the calibration settings?
The picture is good enough but if possible i would like to get the best possible picture settings for the...

          ATTEN ST 8800 D calibration ?
          by draag de wereld
I have an ATTEN ST 8800 D. I tried it out and I have a problem with this machine. When I get the machine at 500°C at 50% airspeed. My motherboards (I tried on several) barely heat up to 180°C. I know how to calibrate the machine, but it can't be a calibration of 300°. Anyone has the same problem with this machine. I know buying cheap is buying expensive but a 300° difference is a rip off.

LAPTOP HP 15-DY2059LA / i3-12gen has stability problems in vccpu coils, BUZZING SOUND. ¿Coil whine?
          by valente222
Hello friends, I just received this equipment, it has a strange hum on the board. The computer works fine, outputs an image and starts Windows. But the problem is when charging the battery, a constant loop to charge. In short, it never charges the battery. When the charger is connected, the stability of the CPU is stressed and it seems that the coils make that electrical sound louder. This board is modern and I don't have a schematic. I have checked with a microscope and the pcb is completely new. Has anyone had this happen to them before? defect in driver ic?...

Samsung UA55KU6500 where is panel calibration stored?
          by groybe
          Hi,

Have a storm damaged TV that had a short on the power to IC207 a tiny surface mount near the emmc that still remains after I removed the IC207.

So I got a new mainboard from aliexpress and it all works but I'm wondering if there's a way to transfer calibration data from the old board to the new one or if that's even necessary?
I presume there is some sort of calibration done at the factory??

There are 2 winbond flash ics w25q40cl, w25q80dv and another eeprom 24c512cl.

I tried swapping those to the new board but the TV wouldn't...
