  • Hi,

I have a Dell Latitude 7310 that won’t power on. No Screen, no fan spinning, power rails look ok.

Connecting the main power causes a brief white LED flash, and the keyboard backlight flashes every 6–7 seconds.

I’ve successfully dumped out the entire SPI and opened it in UEFITool. I replaced the BIOS region from the Dell BIOS update .exe in UEFITool and flashed it, but it made no difference.

I used ME Analyzer on this dump and it reports: Error: Detected MFS Low Level File 12 which has not been parsed!

    I found two Dell...

  • Dell Vostro 14 3435 AMD – 2 amber / 1 white – FIXED

Posting this in case it helps someone.

    Had a Dell Vostro 14 3435 AMD with 2 amber / 1 white LED. Mainboard LA-M36AP.

    Symptoms:
    • Fan spins once
    • CPU and RAM get slightly warm
    • No POST, no display
    • LED code does NOT change with display connected/disconnected
    • Board powers on/off by button normally
    • Power rails looked OK during initial power-on and CPU rail was not shorted, so it didn’t look like a dead CPU.
    What fixed it:
    • I had a BIOS chip from another same board (CPU-dead board, BIOS dump was already repaired for that board from here Badcaps)
    • Simply removed the

    Unfortunately it didn't work.
It is still flashing 2 Amber 1 White. No Screen and keyboard lights on.
I did disconnect everything, and it is still 2 Amber 1 White.
When I disconnect the screen flex cable it is flashing 3 amber 5 white.
I took the board out it is still same....

    • I tried NeoProgrammer, and the readings were still inconsistent. NeoProgrammer displayed multiple “Connection Error” messages before each attempt to read. I had to click the “Read IC” button four or five times before it eventually completed a read, and this occurred with every attempt.
    • I kept the clip straight and held it firmly in place until each read finished, but there was no improvement.
    • I cleaned both the chip legs and the clip contacts, but that also made no difference. Clip looks sit properly. No obstruction.
    • This is my first time using a 1.8 V adapter, as I have never

    Yes I use 1.8V adapter.
But in the very beginning, I did connect the clip without 1.8V adapter, just for 3-4 seconds.
I didn't do any reading with this 3.6V voltage.
Do you think I burned the chip?...

Yes, I use a clip to read the BIOS chip. I use a CH341A and AS Programmer v2.12 to read it. The BIOS chip is a Winbond 25Q128JW....

Success ! Laptop somehow came on, with fan is spinning at full speed and also some messages before the Windows started. Windows started and I managed to download BIOS EXE file from Dell website and install. After BIOS update there were again some messages so I needed to go to BIOS and enter Service Tag manually. Accepted and fan speed came to normal and now laptop functions as before. Thank you very much for your help !...

Unfortunately still same, nothing was wrong with this laptop, it was working, windows was showing BIOS update is pending, I confirmed to carry on but I knew BIOS was already on this shown version. Anyway update process went through successfully, and Windows showed same update again on the next boot, I confirmed againjust to get rid of this from the update list, now it doesn't work.
Symptoms are same, upon pressing the power button, keyboards lights lit up, fan spins at max level for about 3-4 seconds and then laptop shuts itself down....

Hi, my Latitude 3390 2-in-1 stopped booting after Windows was keep updating BIOS, I think BIOS is now corrupted.
My Service Tag is : CZSG4P2
    Express Service Code: 28285486022
Also, I want to learn what you do and how you do. I researched already, I think Service Tag and Region should be added to BIOS file, But I couldn't even extract BIN file from the EXE file I downloaded from Dell Website. Can someone pls show me the way? Thanks....

  • Lenovo V330-15IKB - Not booting, No Display

    Lenovo V330 - 15IKB - Intel i5 8th Gen CPU

My Lenovo laptop does not turn on, no display .

As soon as the DC jack (Lenovo Charger) is plugged in, the power LED and Caps Lock LED turn on, but there is no display.

The fan spins for a short time after plugging in the DC jack and stops, then in about 20-30 seconds it starts to spin slowly and gradually increases to maximum speed. The CPU is slightly warm.

The main power rail measures 8.7V. The battery voltage is 7.6V, and the battery sticker states "Charge with 8.7V." Both 5V and 3.3V rails
