harddrive from old macbook has 2.5 volt on pin 11.
I have an old SATA hard drive from a macbook. The hard drive stopt working and I just wanted to have a look on the pcb. I can't find any fault in the small components but I cant find any datasheet on the IC's and so I don't know what I can expect. What I found odd was that pin 11 has 2.5 volts, and it's not ground as most pictures claim it to be. Does anyone know anything more about the 2.5 volts. it's a HGST harddrive AT 7 mm 2,5 inch. HDD: Z5K500-500. If I'm posing a stupid question, I'm sorry but I'm rather new in the electronics hobby. I'm looking for a new AT 7mm model but I can't find any...

ATTEN ST 8800 D calibration ?
I have an ATTEN ST 8800 D. I tried it out and I have a problem with this machine. When I get the machine at 500°C at 50% airspeed. My motherboards (I tried on several) barely heat up to 180°C. I know how to calibrate the machine, but it can't be a calibration of 300°. Anyone has the same problem with this machine. I know buying cheap is buying expensive but a 300° difference is a rip off.
