    Re: Recommend GOOD cheap PSU

The CX V2 series use Samxon and Teapo - they're good enough considering the fan is usually also kept at higher speed therefore they're decently cooled.

    See http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php...tory4&reid=239

You don't really need 500w power supply - that system will do 100w idle and about 300w load so even a good 350w would be enough.

Newegg has a 24h sale now on an CX 500 v2... 27$ after mail in rebates, 47$ usual price: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...s-_-17-139-027

My CX400 is from the older CX series, not the new one.

(after re-reading that) that's right, mine apparently uses OST. Ugh.

Not if they're GF or GL series. They might as well be a re-branded fuhjyyu.

And you can remember that because both Girl Friends and Good Luck are unreliable.

                  Re: Recommend GOOD cheap PSU

Hi-im going to upgrade PSU to my rig.
my spec is: Phenom x4 965be
                  Amd Radeon 6850

                  I'm currently using cheap PSU.E-Value 550w & 650w Bluewolf
Is my psu enough power? Or may i need to change psu?

                  Thanks

                    Re: Recommend GOOD cheap PSU

If your system is running OK now then your PSU probably does has enough power.

But with a name like E-Value I would be a bit worried about the quality. Even if the basic design is OK it probably uses cheap capacitors, which you might want to upgrade.

Of course if it's a crap design, you'd be better off just buying a reputable brand instead.
