    Ceramic cap replacement on T-con board

    Hi all,

    Had a Samsung LED TV come in with a faulty T-con board(Sound but no picture). Traced it back to a blown 125v 3A fuse and a faulty ceramic cap. The fuse was easy to replace, the cap not so much. The faulty cap was in parallel with another. My meter reads 108.8uF on the good cap that's in parallel. What do you think the voltage would be on the ceramic cap? 16v?
    It blew with the 125v fuse as well so could it be higher?
    With the fuse replaced and the cap removed the tv displays picture.
    Should I measure the voltage on the good cap with the tv on to get an idea what the voltage might be?
    Is it worth worrying about at all?

      probably 12v or less.
      why not power it up & meter the voltage going into the fuse?

          16V rating cap will be good enough for 12V T-CON circuit if the caps are right after the fuse, other section will have higher voltage than 12V.

              Hi There,

              This TV was auto switching off after few seconds with some vertical lines on the screen, so got a new TCON board and replaced it.

              After replacing the TCON board it was working fine and i set it up with everything, used for few hours, then had the bright idea to update the software on it. During the update process, TV switched off and now no audio or video. No relay switch sound.

              I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

              Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

              I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

              The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

              With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              My Oled Tv is 55inch tv, 3 days ago I notice that middle of the screen is getting warmer and on picture I have ghosting, missing red color. Color red was still displaying, but it was not so strong as corners of the screen and watching some movies makes me angry.
              Then I get an idea to take it apart and clean boards from dust.
              In side of Tv was not so bad, I take compressed air in can, and gently blow up.

              Also I was thinking to styrofoam sponge to isolate power board from screen that the middle of the screen will not worm so much. Because Led on screen when gets higher...

              hello everyone,

              I don't normally do tv repairs but this is a case with my personal TV which got fried together with many other electronics in my house after a thunderstorm.

              The TV is a Philips 65PUS8518/12 which had no power. I measured and concluded that the main board was probably fried through ethernet or hdmi. I found a board with same number 715GD328-M0F-B00-005Y (I had G) but from a 55PUS8518. The TV starts but the image is doubled, distorted. I need to set the panel code which is 016 according to the sticker on the back but I can not seem to do it.

              Hello my friends!
              I have a question that I think you can answer and help me with!

              I have a faulty main board from an led TV. And I found the same part number board and design but is from a 43" TV and I want to use it on a 65". On its stickers , all are the same except the wattage for the LEDs backlight, both state different watts and LED Voltages!

              So I presume that the backlight inverter section from the replacement board has lower wattage then the original one, am I right?

              My concern is that the board won't draw enough voltage to the bac...
