Re: LG 55EC930V OLED - swich on swich of no screen

Problem with ghosting and overturning pixels, is that peoples are setting screen to highest brightens , in tv is setting with power saver, where is lowering down voltage going to the screen, and protects pixels to shining with 120% power... That is settings for shops, that peoples who are looking for new tv will be surprised, and they will want to buy that tv..... Anyway, If tv is in full power, the glass screen is heating up slowly, when screen reach surten temperature, it affects pixels shining and because of temperature, pixels are changing their behavior and are starting lowering resistance, with that lower resistance, is rising current up, and pixels are getting shining even more, and this is causing to overburn them.
On internet some peoples noticed that and not knowing why screens are overburning, but they trying prevent it and they are asking others to not run tv more then 4 - 6 ours in tv turned on.
Its because of that glass which is heating on from current going thru the pixels.
There is also another issue with connections between strip from TCON and screen it self. On the microscop I noticed that some of them was melted, what also can cause screen to stop displaying strips along display. Its because of overcurent caused of overburned pixels in high temperature glass.
Now I buy new oled TV from second hand of course, and old one I take apart and sold boards. Now In my tv, In dey light I set in settings powersaver to medium, and for night to maximum, this way, maybe brightnes of display is not si high, but I am sure that I will not have overburning so fast my screen, and screen will not heat up to high temperatures, and last thing what I did, was setting colors to 43, and taking red color a lot lower value, because this color was overdisplaying to much, and this color is burning pixels in most of users on the internet.
This over colored red color is set by company, to boost colors that when You will be in the shop, You will see that OHH colors are so strong, that apple in tv is more real then apple in my hand. :P And person will want to buy that tv.
Remember, try lower red color by -5.
Now skin tone of peoples in tv is more acurate to skin tone on my skin
And I am slipping with less stress now.

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
      by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

      Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

MSI GS66 Stealth 11ue-007us Board Number MS-16V41 VER.1 Screen Connector
      by TheDando
Hey guys I've got a MSI GS66 Stealth 11ue-007us Board Number MS-16V41 VER.1 with a broken screen connector on the motherboard.I was wondering how I would go about finding a exact replacement for it.I can't seem to find any schematics that would help me so I'm kinda stumped.I did buy a screen connector that I thought was close enough but it doesn't really invoke much confidence in me that it works perfectly as plugging the screen into sometimes does output a "glitchy" image for just a few seconds. So now I'm kinda in a cross road where I'm pretty sure it could be a faulty screen but I...

Samsung UN65js8500F, no sound, blank screen and T-Con board with one LED on
      by mrtek
Hi I am new to this kind of repairs but I want to learn..I have a Samsung UN65JS8500F. the TV used to work and I tried to fix darker areas in the middle only ( img 1,2,3). I thought the led strip were bad..not the case. I did not research in advance what kind and where the LED were located. In this model they are located vertically on right and left side. Took the TV apart and put it back together. Now the tv shows no welcome screen and no sound is available thru the speakers. ..just a black screen..Backlight LED do turn on...also noticed a 5 blink code , not sure if that was there before. I can...
