    Philips 43PFS5803

    Hello,
I received this 43' TV. It has no standby voltage and the owner had it on when it banged and shut off.
With a quick look I found one resistor burnt on top side
    R9101 0.24Ω
and at the back smd resistor R9142 22Ω
Both were reading with MM in MΩ
The schematic is attached to this post.
I investigated nearby components and found N-Mosfet Q9101 is K8A65D1 instead of STF24NM65N as per schematic. The resistance between drain and source is 4.4Ω. Should I consider it shorted and the culprit of the failure or is this normal?

The photos uploaded are after resoldering new resistors

    Correction R9104 not R9142.
Also R9106 and R9103 are also burnt reading over 10kΩ
    IC U9101 seems ok

Had the mosfet been changed before? I think one was 8A and called for 24A.
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

If Q9101 shorted and R9101 is open, U9101 is damaged as it would have seen about +300vdc on pin 4(CS)

Replace mosfet first.. if it is shorted between drain-gate check components between gate and ic, get also a new ic this case..

            Re: Philips 43PFS5803

I found a repair kit that includes IC U9101, mosfet, blue film capacitor and the resistors (even though R9104 is not included but already replaced) so I will change them all.
Better safe than sorry, specially when my only other option is to buy separately and wait 2 months from China..
It seems this can be a common problem in this board since there’s a specific repair kit for it.
I will come back in 15 days when they arrive.

No for sure not, maybe it's another version of the original board to cut down the cost. The repair kit has the same Mosfet I removed and not the one in schematic

Update on this. The repair kit did it's job. TV works again.

IC U9101 was indeed shorted (compared grounds to new one)
                Q9101: K8A65D1 shorted
The SMD resistors passing through blown.
All the 0 resistors ok. Fuse and caps ok

                  by aidanmo
                  Hello,

I've got a really strange issue with the speakers on my Philips 43PUS7506/12. It makes this awful loud buzzing now. It happened after it was attempted to be wall mounted - I think the back got squeezed and something broke.
I thought maybe the speakers got damaged, so I replaced them - no dice.
                  • Using the internal speakers, it always happens.
                  • Using the headphone jack, it never happens.
                  • Using the digital/optical out with a soundbar - it happens after about 2h/movie runtime - it's never as drastic, it just pops in and out, but I didn't want it to damage the sound bar
                  ...

                  Hello Team,

New issue on LCD panel where I need to find out the cause and the potential solution.
This is on the Philips 50PUH6400, the LCD panel is an INNOLUX V500dk2 xrs1.

I have image, on the right side, the image is more or less normal even if there is a small blur on edge, on the left there is an issue.
When moving up and down in the menu on the right the image is slow to disappear, and is darker, like red/brown.

I've checked voltages, no issue found comparing right and left side of the panel driver.
VHG VGL CKV... are the sames on...

Activate power board Philips 40PFH40009/88 tv
                  by spantor
                  Hello partners.

Could someone tell me how to make this Philips TV source work without the mainboard being connected? The model of the board is EAX65423701 (2.1) and the model of the Philips TV is 40PFH40009/88.
The TV is dead, there is no standby light, however there is a voltage of 12v on the pins ( included 12v VAU ) and 3.2v on the PS-ON pin (see photo) when the power board is connected to the main board. If I disconnect both boards I only get 8 volts on 12v pins. I would like to rule out a fault in the main board by making it work, but so far no one has been able to tell...

TV Philips 40PFT4101/12 - power on loop
                  by betmen
TV is Philips 40PFT4101/12, power supply 715G6934-P01-000-002M, motherboard 715G6947-M002-000-004Y (703TQGPL068).
The problem is that when it is plugged in, the TV turns on by itself, the Philips sign appears, the backlight turns on and off a couple of times, and the TV turns off, and so it repeats itself in a circle. It does not respond to the remote and nothing is written on the screen, the red light does not blink.
A few weeks ago, it used to turn on by itself about once a week, but after that it worked, now it doesn't work.
I checked the power supply, voltages are fine,...
